Barcelona held the 18th edition of Expoquimia show from 2nd to 6th October. This is a must event for the chemical industry, where Dow® Company, with which Coatresa keeps permanent contact, exhibited its non-stick coatings.

Among other products presented, Dow's stand at Expoquimia showed two
innovations related to non-stick coatings: Evoque ™ 1310, based on pure
acrylic technology applied to a fibre cement panel; and Primal ™ HG-98, a
resin applied to a gloss finish panel on wood along with other acrylic products.
Both acrylic paints present excellent resistance to outdoor weather conditions
for periods over three years.
Anton Valero, CEO of Dow Chemical Ibérica and President of the Business
Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry, emphasised the excellent
opportunity that Expoquimia offered to all professionals in chemistry and
society to show the commitment of the chemical sector with
sustainability and technological advances. According to him, it also is a
chance to improve both quality of life and environment.
On the other hand, other companies showed the benefits of using non-stick
coatings such as Teflon, Halar, Rilsan, or Xylan, incorporating them to their
projects and most innovative systems.
According to the organisers, this latest edition of Expoquimia has been one of
the most innovative and consolidated, both commercial and industrially,
as one of the benchmarks of the chemistry sector. With a total of 393
exhibitors on a surface area of more than 17,500 m² and multiple parallel
congresses related to chemistry, the next edition is expected to take place in
2020.
