HOW TO PREPARE
FOR THE REIKI SESSION
• Get comfortable and entered a relaxed state of being, opening your heart and mind
to accepting healing, compassion, and energy
• You are more than welcomed to pray, light a candle, or smudging
• Set your intention for Reiki by saying out loud or in your mind at the starting
time of the scheduled session:
“I AM NOW READY AND WILLING TO RECEIVE REIKI FOR MY BODY, MIND, AND
SOUL.
• Start the session by sitting or laying down
• Allow your body and mind to fully relax
WHAT TO EXPECT
DURING THE REIKI SESSION
• I will also initiate and set my intention to begin the Reiki session with a similar
phrase at the beginning of the scheduled time for the session.
• I always begin by clearing your aura, and introducing our energy fields
• This can also allow your energies, cells, and consciousness to ‘raise in frequency’ to
match that which is higher to come into coherence with each other
• I will begin the session at your head, and work my way down your body, ending with
your toes.
• You may feel sensations through out your body, not just the area in which I am
channeling to
WHAT EFFECTS & SENSATIONS
ARE COMMON?
• Gentle, peaceful energy through out the body
• Colors or shapes being seen visually, by the third eye or simply, with your eyes
closed
• Some say by starting at the head, through out the session it can feel like the
negative energy is being squeezed out the bottom of your feet, in a good way
• Being sleepy, dozy, or in a state of nirvana, peace, and bliss is great
• Being reminded of and visiting “your happy place”
• Releases of energetic blocks, trapped emotions, or elevated states of awareness of
issues as they resolve, or after the session
TYPES OF REIKI
• Traditional Usui Reiki is the primary therapy I practice for physical, mental and emotional
healing
• Karuna Ki Reiki is the compassionate partner of Usui Reiki and focuses on emotional, soulful,
and spiritual healing of karma, patterns, blocks, and traumas
• I am also certified in Rainbow Ray Reiki, Tibetian, Ancient and Angelic Reiki
• These offer me a few additional divinely inspired attunements and energies that flow from
higher and lower realms and dimensions that assist in deeper healing of the soul and spirit
from the angels and masters of light and love. However, they are not as common to use with
clients and mostly assist me as a practitioner to hold and channel more light and healing
energy in and around my being at all times.
• Cleansing protocols to open and close sessions are used to ensure the session is divinely
protected, orchestrated, blessed, and secured for the benefit of both the practitioner and
recipient.
HOW YOU CAN FURTHER IMPROVE
THE REIKI SESSION
• Set your intention for this Reiki session, and inform me of it before we begin
• “I am receiving Reiki today to specifically address my physical illness, emotional
distress from my relationship, to ease my worry and regain some energy in my every
day life.”
• Fill out the client forms here, as I will review them to enhance your experience and
personalize it for your needs and medical history
• Do a meditation, go for a walk, stretch, yoga, or breathing 5-15 minutes before the
session to open your chakras and energies through out your body
• Take 5 minutes before the session beings to light a candle, pray, or sit and smile to
yourself to help raise your vibration to receive higher energies at ease
• Practice meditation on a regular basis to improve your ability to “see/hear/feel”
more during the session, as some can receive great insight, revelation, and guidance
during healings
THINGS YOU COULD
USE IN YOUR ENVIRONMENT
• Bring in the elements such as burning a candle, a cup of water,
incense, open a window
• Surround yourself with your favorite crystals or set them up in a
grid that supports your Reiki intention
• Play some relaxing healing music to set the mood for yourself
• Smudge the area you will receive Reiki before and after the
session
