WORK EXPERIENCE
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (June15-2014 to present)
Research Assistant
 The objective of project is to study the molecular level mechanisms behind the gas transport inside
nanochannel used for cooling NEMS devices.
 Molecular dynamics simulation LAMMPS is used for analysis of fluid transport inside the nanochannel
and post processing is done through FORTRAN.
 Advantage of this method is without moving parts flow can be attained.
Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (Oct 2013- May 2014)
Project Assistant
 Naval Research Board funded project.
 The objective of project is to study the drag reduction of flat plate using hydrophobic coating and suitable
gas injection mechanism.
 Experiments are done using water tunnel and data is acquired using LABVIEW software.
 Design and analysis of flow over flat plate using commercial software FLUENT and GAMBIT.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS
M.E: “Drag reduction of a re-entry body at supersonic speed adopting natural ventilation”
 The objective of project is to study the flow field around the spherically blunt cone with different flare angle
and adopting various holes in a model at supersonic speed.
 The other aspects are to study suction parameters (hole size, location and the amount) on drag reduction.
 Experiments are done using wind tunnel and data is acquired using LABVIEW software, is compared with
numerical simulation FLUENT and GAMBIT softwares.
B.E: “Experimental investigation on layered composite upto pre-break down load using non-destructive
testing”
 Predicting the layered composite damage due to external force and rectifying that damage to give perfect
maneuvering for the aircraft.
 Fabricating the layered composites, applying impact load on it, finally going for thermography Non-
Destructive Testing (NDT) to predict the damage.
COURSEWORK
Aerodynamics, Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer by Conduction and Convection, Computational
fluid dynamics and microfluidics.
PAPER PRESENTED
 Presented Paper on “Flow field over a re-entry capsule with ventilation at supersonic speed” in
Proceedings of the 40th
National Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power, Dec’13, NIT Hamirpur,
India.
 Presented a paper in the title of “Integration of vision and inertial navigation system for landing of an
unmanned aerial vehicle” at Mahindra satyam Software solution for “Aerospace Young Engineers Award
contest in 2010”.
