SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT
I madeseveral changes to the script – from the
names, to the dialogue, to shots and angles, to
completely removing or adding a scene. These are
all changes that have been made throughout the
process of constructing the script. However I have
finally come up with the most ideal script so far.
Nevertheless I enjoyed working on the script as
though it took quite some time to create, as the
brainstorming was heavily time consuming.
STORYBOARD DEVELOPMENT
I barelyhad any issues creating the storyboard for my short film.
The biggest issue was the sketching as it took me quite a while
to sketch every scene. Even though it was time consuming it was
enjoyable to construct and think of different camera shots and
angles to include in the short film. While brainstorming ideas for
the storyboard, I came up with ideas that eventually changed my
script as I thought that those additions would benefit the
likeability of my short film. The short film ends with Ben telling
Josh to let go of him and get the last slice of pie. It was loosely
based on a short film that I made last year that I wasn’t able to
fully finish due to the corona virus pandemic. The reason for this
LOCATION SEARCH
I havethought well and hard of the locations for my short film. At
first I wanted to film all of the scenes in one school, however I
realized that the exterior of one school is not appropriate enough for
the scenes that I have created. And so the scenes that are filmed
indoors are located in one school, and the scenes filmed outdoors are
located in another school. There were particular features that I had to
compensate of because there wasn’t one location that had it all. I had
to compromise quite a bit in the pre production stage in terms of
location, the environment and the overall surroundings.
