Give a responsible person your hunting plan Do not travel or hunt alone Take food and water to last several days Bring a map and compass
Wear layered clothing Plan outing so you return to site before dark Never leave camp without fire starting tools Do not panic if you become lost
 
Your hunting plan should include Trip plan Time and date (departing and returning) Destination Who is going

Apply pressure directly to wound Cover with sterile gauze Press pad firmly with palm If soaked, cover with second pad Raise above level of heart Only if no fracture on limb
Foot Remove shoe Tie pillow/padding around foot Splint a broken leg Place blanket/padding between legs Bind legs using one strip of cloth Bind in several more places Above and below painful area
1 st /2 nd  Degree- Closed Blisters Immerse area in cold water Do not use ice Avoid using ointment or butter 2 nd /3 rd  Degree – Open Blisters Wrap with loose, dry dressing
Keep victim lying on back Raise feet 8-10 inches If having trouble breathing raise head and shoulders instead Maintain normal body temperature Loosen restrictive clothing Keep victim calm and comfortable
Students will break into group and demonstrate to the class the basic first aid techniques Jeopardy!!! Test your survival knowledge
