3. I thought that this shot would be very effective because I framed the
bridge nicely in the shot. It works well with the genre as it is a remote
location with graffiti which can be seen as ‘indie’. The lighting also
works well as this is a conventional aspect of this genre.

5. I think this shot is effective because is contrasts the darkness of the
other location. These bright colours are certainly less conventional of
this genre, but as Steve Neal said- “Genres are dynamic and evolve over
time”. This shows that I have the power to influence the genre as I can
change the conventions to suit my video, as this is part of the
‘evolution’ of the genre.
