This document discusses the relationship between living entities and the Supreme Lord. It states that living entities are eternal parts of the Supreme Lord but due to conditioned life are struggling with material existence. 14. The Lord is served by all His parts and parcels, as the complete machine is served by its parts and parcels. Any part of the machine removed from the whole is no longer important. Similarly, any part and parcel of the Absolute detached from the service of the Lord is useless . Although the sun is all light, the clouds, darkness and snowfall are all part and parcel of the sun. Without the sun there is no possibility of the sky’s being overcast with clouds or darkness, nor can there be snowfall on the earth Srimad Bhagavatam 1.9.44
