- 3. Bagian 1 Kekuatan Mempertahankan Equilibrium atau Mengubah Gerak Didefinisikan secara sederhana, kekuatan adalah dorongan atau tarikan. Gaya diberikan oleh benda pada benda lain. Gaya adalah sesuatu yang mempercepat atau mengubah bentuk suatu benda. Dalam mekanika benda tegar, kita mengabaikan deformasi dan menganggap bahwa benda yang kita analisis tidak berubah bentuk. Secara mekanis, sesuatu mengalami percepatan ketika mulai, berhenti, bertambah cepat, melambat, atau berubah arah.

Kekuatan internal mungkin penting dalam studi olahraga dan biomekanik olahraga jika kita prihatin dengan sifat dan penyebab cedera, tetapi mereka tidak dapat menghasilkan perubahan apa pun dalam gerakan pusat massa tubuh.
