Is a networking service with the
aim of connecting profession
people. It is available through LinkedIn
websites, mobile
applications and developer
platforms.
LinkedIn is
“ the world's largest professional network with
300 million members in over 200 countries and
territories around the globe” (LinkedIn, 2014).
2. On registering with this service you
become a member and thus agree to
their terms of service.
Membership allows professionals to share
insights, knowledge and to discover
opportunities for business development.
Unregistered users or visitors
are allowed to view some content on
some LinkedIn services.

3. CONTENT OWNERSHIP
You own the content and information you
provide LinkedIn, and grant them a
license to it.
You may request deletion of such at
anytime,
unless you have shared it with
others and they
have not deleted it,
or it was copied and stored by other users.

4. LinkedIn
has a “Minimum Age” requirement
to become
a registered user of their service.
Minimum age requirements vary
depending on country or state.
Services are not designed nor intended
for anyone under the age of thirteen to use.

5. Your obligation when registering
with
this service is to
promise that your LinkedIn
profile will be truthful.
“LinkedIn does not
have any legal obligation to verify the identity
of the persons subscribing to their services”,
and
“disclaims all liability for identity theft or any misuse of
your identity or information by others”.

6. Personal information is
protected by LinkedIn and they
will only provide it to third parties:
- with the users consent,
- when necessary to execute user instructions,
- in order to provide features and functionality to the
user.
LinkedIn has implemented “appropriate
security safeguards designed to protect
your information in accordance with industry
standards”(LinkedIn 2014).
8. Unacceptable content and
sharing content that may be
considered
inappropriate
(and blocked) by LinkedIn:
- misleading personal information, including
qualifications, achievements, work
experience, affiliations.
- graphic or obscene images or
pornography.

9. It is unacceptable to use
LinkedIn services to:
● harass, abuse or post unwanted
communications.
●threaten violence or property damage, or for
hate speech acts,
● for illegal activities or to violate the rights
of others.
● Sharing or using copyrighted works,
trademarks, private information
without the legal right to do so.

10. LinkedIn
may
Restrict, Suspend
or
Terminate
the account of any member
who abuses or misuses
their Services
