American Sign Language
This set of hand signs represents the 26 letters of the
English alphabet used by members of the deaf
community to communicate with one another.
The American Sign Language or ASL is the most
widely used of all sign languages and is the one used
at the United Nations general assembly sessions.
ASL uses a single hand to sign the letters of the
alphabet unlike the British Sign Language which
uses two hands.
