About • Google initially known as Backrub, It’s is a search Engine that was founded by PhD students Sergey Brin and Larry Page as a research project at Stanford university in order to find files on the internet. • Larry and Sergey later decided the name of their search engine needed to change and decide upon Google, which is inspired from the term Googol. The name was a play on the mathematical expression for the number 1 followed by 100 zero.

Mozilla • Mozilla has shown intent to kick Google out from its default search engine status. • Mozilla is now eyeing to get a deal with Microsoft to make Bing as its default search engine in Firefox. Yahoo • Google’s biggest competitors besides Microsoft is Yahoo. • Yahoo made some improvements by integrating search with its rich content user.
