The Lakers were founded in Detroit in 1946 and moved to Minneapolis and then Los Angeles, winning 10 championships before relocating. They won 5 more titles in the 1980s led by Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In 2009, they defeated the Orlando Magic for their 15th title, with Kobe Bryant named Finals MVP, and have since won over 3,000 regular season games.
