Powerful organisational levers will nurture collaboration and increase retention
Businesses, as well as the society, operate using the systems theory model, while creating relationships, with bonding levels directly proportional to the
level of fulfilment experienced by individual members. Diversion, inclusion and equity are powerful levers, which can strengthen the engagements.

The hierarchy of needs (Maslow, 1943) and the general systems theory (Bertalanffy, 1968) apply to organisations and the wider society. I position the belonging ingredient and
its three levers: equity, diversity and inclusion, as essential to maintaining the integrity/goodness of the ecosystem. Failing to practice these norms will deter the environment.

Representation of multiple
identities, personalities,
operating principles,
needs and capabilities
Encouraging and offering
real consideration to all
thoughts, innovative ideas,
values and perspectives
Repeated and consistent
redistribution of power,
recognition and influence
to all individual members
An increase in the level of accomplishments (of
personal needs) allows for a gradual appreciation
and growth in trust and commitment
Systematic or consistent failure to address
individual needs, leads to a sudden drop of
bonding levels, down to the standard basic one

I position the belonging ingredient and its three levers: equity, diversity and inclusion, as essential to maintaining the integrity/goodness of the ecosystem.
