This professional development presentation covered how technology can enhance learning for students with disabilities and economically disadvantaged communities. It discussed how teachers can use technologies like problem-based learning to develop students' critical thinking skills. The presentation highlighted that as technologies become more integrated in classrooms, teachers will need to adopt new pedagogical methods and move beyond basic IDEA requirements to fully include students with disabilities. References were also provided that discuss making higher education more inclusive through digital technologies, improving access equity for disabled and underprivileged students, and how middle schools have implemented technology-enriched problem-based learning.
