L'Agost 1935 és destinat al col·legi Valdemia de
Mataró; aquí està al començar la guerra (18.07.36).
El 07.10.1936 van anar enganyats al vaixell Sant
Agustí amarrat al port de Barcelona, creien que els
portarien cap a França
Els maristes van pagar 200.000 francs per llibertar
als seus germans. Del vaixell van anar a la txeca.

Montcada junt amb altres germans maristes.

Nit del 8 d'Octubre són afusellats pels milicians al
cementiri de Montcada
Ell va ser l'únic que no va rebre ferida mortal.
Ferit, al marxar aquells, va anar a demanar ajut al
carrer Provença, 1 de Montcada.
La senyora Paula Auladell Gaspar el va ajudar i fins
i tot li va donar les seves sabatilles.
Va demanar ajut a una segona casa (la dels germans
Carrasco) però el van tornar al cementiri. Allà, més
tard, el varen trobar mort.

17. Empresonament i martiri (III)
Al 1940 el seu cos és reconegut per la senyora Paula
Auladell que li va deixar les seves sabatilles abans de
ser afusellat per segona vegada.
Al mateix any les seves restes son traslladades al
convent de les Avellanes.
Al 1967 son portades definitivament a l'església del
convent anterior.
Al 1969 és va iniciar el procés de beatificació.
