It would then adjust its current and voltage output to precisely match the required charging rate, minimizing risks of overcharging. Diagrams and test results are provided showing the charger's regulating components and ability to vary its power output range from 3.5V to 12V and 0.5A to 4A based on the device connected. The goal is to develop a universal charger capable of safely charging most smartphones and devices.
Smartphones and multiple electronic gadgets have become a daily necessity for our life as we have
created a huge interdependency on gadgets. Introduction of the electronic gadgets with multiple features have
made our lifestyle easier and faster. Smartphones are the most importance and widely used electronic gadget and
it can be observe that every new day brings a better innovation in its manufacturing. Along with the innovation
In the smartphone, we need a major innovation in its charging methods. In the initial days of the mobile phone
manufacturing, its chargers used to work on the constant current supply system. After few years the next
generation chargers came with the constant voltage system and the next major update was the introduction of the
constant current And constant voltage charging system, which was used for a larger period of time. When the
competition in the field of innovation incremented massively, smartphone brands focused on making there
smartphone charging rate faster than others and they started using the microcontrollers for increasing there
charger’s output. There are multiple smartphone brands with there own different charging technologies like
DASH, TURBO, VOOC etc. These charging technologies works on there full potential when connected to The
devices which support those technology’s communication. When we connect these high power output chargers to
the devices which doesn’t support its communication Style , the charger doesn’t supply the power with the full
potential even if the device is capable of handling the load. There is a need for a charger which doesn’t have the
compatibility issues with any kind of devices which require the power input between The range of power output
supplied by the charger. There is the need for the charger with the wide range of power supply that can charge a
earpiece to smartphone. In our Auto Power Adjustable charger’s proposed methodology , we are considering all
the above parameters to create a universal charger, which can be used to charge any type of device in its output
range. We will add an extra circuit which will be responsible for the feedback from the device’s battery for
analysing the required power output . We will supply the exact amount of power which is required by the device
and it will minimize the chances of the damage on the less powered batteries. The test results are showing the
positive responses till the date . Arduino is the major component , which is responsible for the decision making in
the regulation of the power output. Here we can conclude that our charger can eliminate the chances of the
damage on the battery and it can supply the power output of a wide range.
This document discusses different types of power banks, including fashionable and portable, built-in rechargeable line type, ones with LED lights, solar powered, and quick charge. Power banks allow users to talk, stream music, take photos without worrying about their phone battery dying and are more energy efficient and eco-friendly than other options.
Wireless charging allows devices to charge without cables or connectors by using magnetic induction between two coils. Qi is the wireless charging standard that transmits power over short distances up to 4 cm. Smartphones can be charged by placing them on charging pads or stands that have transmitter coils, which induce current in receiver coils within the phones. While convenient, wireless charging has lower efficiency than wired charging and causes devices to heat up more. It also requires devices and chargers to have added electronics and coils, increasing costs. However, wireless charging eliminates the need for different charger types and cables, improving durability over time.

8. Getting to grips with the technological information surrounding power banks can seem like a daunting task.
To make it simple, we provide you with an explanation of terms and key features that enable you to select the power bank that best suits your
requirements.
The unit of measure for internal battery capacity, it indicates the amount of energy a battery can store. A 2400 mAh battery can store double the
energy of a 1200 mAh battery, for example.
The higher the number, the larger the battery capacity.
Since batteries within various smartphones, tablets and mobile devices vary, the extent to which a certain power bank will charge a given device will
vary too. A 2600 mAh power bank may fully charge an iPhone yet the same power bank will only charge an iPad battery to 40% because the internal
battery within the iPad is far larger than the iPhone battery.
Perhaps one of the most important factors to consider when selecting a power bank these days, the cycle life of a power bank indicates how many
times a battery can be fully recharged and discharged before the capacity is greatly diminished to an unusable or worthless size. This can vary
considerably because if someone uses 50% of the battery and then recharges it back to full capacity, this is rated as half a cycle.
Always choose batteries that have true cycle ratings of 300 cycles or more to ensure that your promotional item lasts way past your desired
promotional period. Nobody wants a power bank that only lasts a week, right!
So, the higher the cycle life, the longer the life span of the product and the more bang you get for your marketing buck.

9. Output Current
All smartphones and tablets have a maximum charging rate / input. This information is important with reference to the charging time.
For an optimal charging time it is best if the charging rate of the power bank matches or is higher than the device. It doesn’t mean that a lower
output will not charge. It only means that it will take longer for the device to charge.
In the example below in situation A (1A output) the tablet is using approximately 70% of its charging potential.
In situation B, the tablet is charged at its maximum charging potential.
In the case of the smartphone, in both situations it will charge at its maximum potential.
• The input of most smartphones is: 1A
• The input of most tablets is: 2.1A

10. Lithium Ion vs Lithium Polymer
There are two types of batteries commonly used in portable devices: Lithium Ion and Lithium Polymer.
The difference in the battery is that Lithium Polymer battery holds its lithium-salt electrolyte in a solid polymer composite, whilst
a Lithium Ion battery keeps the electrolyte in an organic solvent. A Lithium Polymer battery tends to be more stable, thinner and
lighter than a Lithium Ion battery. It can also be formed into almost any shape.
LED indicators
Some power banks come with LED indicators which can help the customer to check on the battery level of the power bank.
Our Zoom items come with a special “shake” technology which means that when you shake the power bank, the LED lights will
turn on to show how much power is still inside the power bank.
Extra functions
Some power banks are splash resistant, shock proof and / or have additional features like a built-in flashlight.
Travel Restrictions / Advisory
The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced plans to step up security checks on airports with direct flights to the US from
Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Further to this, the UK Department for Transport (DfT) announced it had also implemented the additional measures in line with advice from
US transportation security authorities. The increased screening could potentially apply to all flights, including transatlantic flights and those
connecting the UK to mainland Europe with other countries likely to follow suit.
The measures require passengers to demonstrate that electronic devices in carry-on luggage can be activated. If a device is inoperable, the
passenger will be barred from taking it aboard the aircraft. The devices in question include all electronic and electrical appliances, including
laptop computers, tablets, and mobile phones. Passengers are also advised that devices in checked baggage could be screened as well.

11. Choosing a power bank or charger can be tricky business. Due to their rising popularity in the Promotional Industry, unscrupulous suppliers are reducing costs
by not conducting the necessary safety tests, using cheap PC boards and providing low-grade batteries. These do not only have lower capacity and lifespan
than stated, but could also be potentially unstable and dangerous if poorly assembled and not fully safety-tested, possibly even resulting in explosions.
Whilst two products might appear to have the same external appearance, their performance and functionality can differ dramatically.
Our range of power banks are manufactured to high quality and safety standards, so make the smart choice and select an option you can trust and are proud to
place your brand on.
100% inspection of all incoming batteries, with defective units (distortion, liquid leakage) being removed. Further, voltage and internal resistance is
measured against AQL standard to avoid zero internal resistance and similarly to ensure that the IR doesn’t exceed 60 milli-ohm.
PC board testing:
a) 100% inspection of appearance for each PCB, with defective units (faulty soldering, bridging defect, missing parts) being removed.
b) Ageing tests conducted after soldering: fully charging, fully discharging, fully charging again, fully discharging again, charging 60% to ascertain
whether the charging/discharging data and temperature is ok.
c) Floating voltage/overloading voltage test, over current and short circuit protection tests.
d) Charge/discharge performance test, charge/discharge time test,over-charge/over-discharge protection test.
In the assembly line the charging voltage/current and discharging voltage/current for each piece is checked to ensure that
the voltage/current is neither too high nor too low, either of which would result in abnormal functioning.
Ageing test: upon completion of assembly, every unit undergoes a further ageing test - fully charging, fully discharging, charging 60%. During charging/
discharging further checks are conducted to establish that the indicator light is operational, whether the unit becomes hot or emits smoke, if charging/
discharging time is normal and whether over-charge/over-discharge is ok.
QA spot check on completed units, employing Ageing Test Equipment, Ageing Rack, Power Bank Tester, load meter and USB tester to test various data.
Additionally random “drop tests” are conducted to see if this leads to abnormal functioning of unit thereafter, or any potential safety hazards.
