Adrien is a French national with 15 years of experience in water and sanitation projects around the world. He is now proposing the Pousse en Claire Oyster Project to introduce traditional French oyster farming techniques to Japan. The project would establish oyster ponds in Amakusa, Kumamoto prefecture to farm oysters using gravity sea water systems. In addition to oysters, the ponds could also farm clams and shrimp. The goal is to offer premium, organic oysters to Japanese customers and contribute to rural development. The next steps include obtaining permissions and experimenting with oyster pond farming.
