A solid can be
defined as of definite
shape and volume;
not liquid or gaseous.
Examples:
Rock
Clothing
Wood

A liquid is composed
of molecules that
move freely among
themselves but do not
tend to separate like
those of gases.
Examples:
Milk
Water
Oil

Gas is consisting of
particles that have
neither a
defined volume nor
defined shape.
Examples:
Oxygen
Neon
Carbon Dioxide
