2. When I think
of Westport,
KY:
• I picture my siblings and I playing outside,
swimming, hiding in the woods, playing in the
creek. I picture sunflowers and my
grandmother’s yellow kitchen.
• I smell fresh cut grass, bon fires, and horses.
• I hear cicadas, laughter, lawn mowers, my
grandmother and great aunt yelling for us to
come inside.
• I taste sunscreen and pool water
• I feel grass and slippery creek rocks beneath my
feet
