Over the past two decades, the terms "accountability" and "program evaluation" have become the focus
within the human services arena. Due to budgetary constraints and decrease in availability of public
funding, the competition for scarce resources has increased. This increased competition has subjected
human services agencies to an intense examination where requests for resources are scrutinized carefully.
The first step to conducting a program evaluation is to conduct a needs assessment to determine and justify
the reason for carrying out the evaluation of a particular program. A need can be defined as the gap
between what is and what should be and can be experienced by an individual, a group, or an entire
community.
Tasks:
Using at least 3–5 scholarly resources from the professional literature, research human service needs
assessment. The literature may include the Argosy University online library resources, relevant textbooks,
peer-reviewed journal articles, and websites created by professional organizations, agencies, or institutions
(.edu, .org, or .gov).
Create a 7- to 9-page report in a Microsoft Word document, including the following:
Identify a program at a social agency or other human services program to which you have access
and provide a description of the organizational context including the mission and objectives of the

Working with entire communities and organizations might seem overwhelming, due to the large number of people involved. Where do you begin? It might be a relief to know that the GIM is just as useful to social workers practicing at the macro level as it is for those practicing at the micro and mezzo levels. In fact, you begin the process in the same way with proper engagement and the appropriate form of assessment before enacting an intervention. Successful engagement and assessment depends on strong interpersonal skills, regardless of the level of intervention. In some respects, skills such as empathy, warmth, genuineness, and general rapport-building are the same for macro work as they are for micro and mezzo work—they just may be applied in a different way. In other respects, this level of intervention depends on additional skills not often identified as social work-related, including negotiating, mediating, assessing, and budgeting. A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

Using one of the two programs chosen in #1, assess how this program will provide required resources to at risk population in need. Please provide a synthesis of the following: the at risk population, the resources utilized, and how the chosen referral program assisted in accessing the resources by the at risk population. 30 points 3. Using one of the two programs chosen in #1, assess how this program will provide required referral to an intervention to serve the at risk population.
