activities, and accessibility, as well as future residential/ commercial development in Darling Harbor. Hence, the
proposal addressed both challenges and future opportunities of Sydney’s China Town

The summer course project included the design of the 10m2 structure, as well as producing a full construction

Housing and Built Environment Studio - Addition and alteration to Lycksele hospital in Umea, Sweden
Course coordinator : Ake Viklund - Group work with: Andy Campbell, Kieth McGregor and Steven Hallen
The early stages of the project involved liaising with county officials, hospital staff and community members,
followed by analysis and establishment of goals and strategies to optimize the performance of the hospital.
Consequently, design proposal focused on facilitating the circulation of the staff, integrating the hospital with its
surrounding, and increasing physical and psychological well being of patients.
