Everybody has tasted a bit of it, while moving in traffic, while walking by the side of a factory. This presentation will give a detailed overview and statistics of the effects of pollution.
2. What is Pollution ?
Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural
environment that cause adverse change. Pollution can take the
form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or
light pollutants, the components of pollution, can be either
foreign substances/energies or naturally occuring contaminants.
4. Air pollution
Air pollution is the introduction of particulates, biological
Molecules, or other harmful gases into earths atmosphere,
Causing disease, death to humans, damage to other living organisms
such as food crops, or the natural or built environment. Air pollution
may come from anthropogenic or
Natural resources
5. Land Pollution
Land pollution is the deterioration of the earth land surfaces,
often directly or indirectly as a result of mans activities and their
misuse of land resources. It occurs when waste is not disposed off
properly, or can occur when humans throw chemicals unto soil in the
form of pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers during agricultural
practices
6. Noise Pollution
Noise Pollution is the disturbing or excessive noise that may
harm the activity or balance of human or animal life. The source of
most outdoor noise worldwide is mainly caused by machines or
transportation systems, motor vehicles,
Aircraft, and trains. Outdoor noise is summarized by the word
environmental noise. Indoor noise can be caused by machines,
building activities, and music performances.
7. Water Pollution
Water Pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g
lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater) water pollution
effects the entire biosphere- plants and organisms living in these
bodies of water. In almost all the cases the effect is damaging not
only to individual species and population but also to the natural
biological communities
9. EFFECTS OF POLLUTION
Effect 1 Air pollution causes lung cancer, eye irritation,
lowering of IQ level, nostril problems, throat infection,
coronary problems.
Effect 2 Water pollution effects kidney cancer, joint aches,
gastro problems, kidney stone.
Effect 3 Noise pollution decline in hearing ability of people,
irritation in their temperament weekness in nerves, and brains
hemorrhage in extreme cases.
10. REMEDIAL MEASURES
Solution1 Land pollution by disposing off all the waste
that directly or indirectly hit the land with an
environmental friendly method and promotion of culture
of reduce reuse and recycle.
Solution 2 air pollution strict enforcement of green laws
to control air pollution at sources by installing safe
chimneys in factories and silencer in vehicles.
Solution 3 Water pollution binding all sources
(factories and household) to never release any
harmful material in to drinking water before
treatment. Drink such water at least after boiling
for 30 minutes . Using water filter to neutralize
its harm
