2. What is Pollution?
• Well, what is it? Stinky stuff? Muck? Poison? Yes, all those
things... and more. Some is obvious like smoke which you can see
but much of it is not obvious at all. Yet you're eating it and
drinking it and breathing it most of the time. And what is worse
is that all this muck affects all other life on Earth. You can find
pollution made by people just about everywhere on the planet
3. • Trash, greenhouse gases, almost anything. Unfortunately, humans cause
pollution from cars and factories and etc..... Exhaust, smoke, litter and
cutting down trees. Throwing household garbage, using old vehicles,
smoking.
4. • Air Pollution
• Water Pollution
• Land Pollution
• Noise Pollution
• Radioactive Pollution
• Thermal Pollution
5. •
The World Health Organization reports
that 3 million people now die each year
from the effects of air pollution. This is
three times the 1 million who die each
year in automobile accidents.
6. • People dumping rubbish and harmful
poison is the main cause of land pollution.
• Land pollution can affect people by
causing skin problems and some cancers
and rubbish can be washed into rivers.
• We need to learn about the 3 R’s to
reduce land pollution.
7. • Rubbish lying around can hurt animals
and their habitats and poisons in the
ground will make people sick.
• We could make posters about the 3 R’s
and talk about what they mean to help
people be aware of land pollution.
