As a teen idol in the 80s, he was unhappy so he chose movie parts
that were more challenging
Johnny Depp is interested in the process that it takes to make a
great performance instead of what the final product is which is
why he doesn't watch any of his movies
He becomes the character he is playing and he puts everything
into every single one of his performances. Johnny Depp takes a
character from paper and turns it into a memorable and magical
on screen.
Tim Burton, his friend and also director, has said that Johnny
Depp becomes the character by being the character off screen as
well...Edward Scissorhands never spoke so Johnny Depp never
