Students at Pokuru School used thinkers keys from the BFG story to guide their inquiry process. Students created a model to track their progress through different stages of inquiry and reflection. The model included logos that students moved to indicate where they were and arrows to show reflection in both directions. Students asked questions that were sorted into two groups and worked with teachers to further their questions at different stages. Thinkers keys were used extensively throughout the learning process.

Studnets moved their logos round the stages indicating where they were in the process and this enabled teachers to plan conferencing time. Students spent time discussing this before school when it first went on the wall and asked to have the reflection arrow going both ways.
