This document outlines the genre, plot, age rating, and casting for a trailer. The genre is a hybrid of thriller and romance to incorporate suspense, passion, and obstacles threatening the relationship. The plot follows a woman who becomes dangerously obsessed after her boyfriend's infidelity. Her grief turns to violence as she murders him. The age rating is 15 due to language, sexuality, violence, and drug use. The document also discusses previous relevant projects and choosing a cousin as the lead actress who fits the psycho but beautiful character ideology.

1. TRAILER IDEOLOGY/ PLOT.

2. GENRE
 The ideology of my trailer is way too broad for me to just have one specific genre. Therefore genres of my
trailer are a hybridity of thriller/ drama and romance. The reason as to why I have decided to use this
hybridity is because thriller invokes excitement and suspense. Thrillers are created by delaying what the
audience sees as inevitable. I want my trailer to be intriguing and to be unpredictable so it will attract the
audience as a trailer is the biggest marketing technique. This genre is not tedious and it contributes well to
my ideology.
 The reason I have hybridized thriller with romance is because I also want to incorporate the passion and
infatuation of a romantic involvement. Romantic dramas revolves around obstacles that develop and
threaten a romantic relationship. Hybridizing this subgenre with thriller will differ my trailer from being the
typical tedious romantic movie.
 Examples of existing movies that have hybridized the genres thriller and romance, which have influenced
my storyline are:
- Black Swan
- The perfect Guy
- Be careful what you wish for.
- The boy next door.

3. Plot or narrative idea
 The Storyline of my Romance & Thriller is going to be about a young woman who's infatuated with
her boyfriend who she's been with for years. However, after he becomes unfaithful her grief and
infuriation turns into a dangerous obsession.
 STAGE 1 - EQUILIBRIUM:
Jump shots showing the ecstatic couple in a very healthy and happy relationship. Shots of the Driving together, Play fighting,
cooking, kissing etc. The first stage is showing how perfect their relationship was so the audience can understand how intimate the
two characters were.
 STAGE 2 – DISRUPTION:
The relationship gradually starts to deteriorate. The main actress makes dinner for her and her boyfriend he comes home from work
late, she throws away the meal. He leaves his phone and she sees the text from his mistress. She comes home from work late and in
the rear view mirror sees her boyfriend going in the car with the mistress. She takes photos of them together.
 STAGE 3 – REALISATION:
She confronts her boyfriend about the affair and presents the photos to him. She starts to psychically and verbally attack him. Drags
his clothes of the hangers, burn them. Throws glasses and chairs. Picks up gun.
 STAGE 4- NEW EQUILIBRIUM:
She actually becomes so dangerous she murders him and has his body laying on the ground or in the bath , while she calls the cops
on herself. She is distraught and high. The police arrest her handcuffed.

4. Plot or narrative idea
 Previously for my AS projects. I have created a music magazine and a preliminary trailer. I have decided to use the
same model as she is well aware of my media projects and she takes it seriously and knows how to adapt to the role.
For my main protagonist she exactly fits my ideology of my desired character. This is why I have decided to use her as
the main cast for my trailer by already creating a music magazine. I know the conventions that are suitable for a
magazine and how to construct it professionally . Plus a music magazine will only slightly be different to a movie
magazine so this task has given me skills to create this movie magazine. Plus, by creating my preliminary at my
previous school. In which we had to be in groups of 4 to create a trailer of any genre and narrative and we only had 2
short weeks to film and edit it. We decided to choose horror and as thriller is a subgenre from horror there are some
elements that I will use in my new product. In addition to this the preliminary was extremely helpful because it was
my first ever experience of filming and editing for a serious project and it made me aware at how vital it is especially
for the genre thriller which requires a lot of shots and jump cuts to create this suspense. This also helped me to
finalise and effectively construct my narrative for my A2 project.

5. Age rating
 The age rating for my film trailer is going to be rated 15. The reason as to why I have given this
rating for my trailer is because I have researched on my BBFC which is the British certificate for films
and due to the strong language, sexual nature and the violence plus the soft drug use. psychological
thrillers would not be understood properly with those under the age of 15. So my age rating is 15,
possible an 18 but the rating 15 is a definite.

target audience are the
millennial generation. Those
that are interested in this
flamboyant, lavish lifestyle,
active on social media and like
the finest things within life. I
want my main character to be
physically beautiful but
internally ugly and psycho
that’s why I have decided to
Chose Dayniah my 23 year old
Cousin to play the role. She
suits the ideology of my main
character and as a media
graduate she very aware of
how media and acting works so
she's aware of how my
ideology will be executed.
