In this regard, a very discrete observation has been made with respect to diversion and evolution of fauna and flora of Central America. During past few decades, it has been observed that a close association occurs between the reproductive traits of flora and the nature of fauna found in Central American lowland forest areas. Researchers have observed that in last few centuries, some large herbivore species have become extinct. There extinction has lead to significant decline in the seed-dispersal and cross-pollination efficacy of the local plants of this area. However, inhabitation of humans and colonization has resulted into rearing of large cattles such as horses in these areas. The rearing of these large herbivores has played a crucial role in restoring the floral diversity in these areas because these herbivores help in seed-dispersal and sexual reproduction of plants by grazing and movements. Conseqeuntly, these observations has lead to recognize the impact and capability of restoration of local extinct/near-extinct floral diversity just by merely introducing large/small herbivores. Thus, a comparative analysis could be made between artifical methods of floral-diversity restoration as compared to natural and environmentally favourable methods. This study describes the relationship of the natural wetland habitats in Agusan Marsh to nearby rice fields and its implication to ecological rice production. Aquatic insects play multiple roles in the ecosystem such as predators, prey to other animals and decomposers which help in maintaining ecological balance. Results revealed that the diversity of odonates was highest in the sedge-dominated swamp among natural habitats which corresponds to the adjoining ricefields. The pattern of clustering of odonates show 3 groups; the rice-sago and rice-sedges sub-cluster, the rice-bangkal, rice-Terminalia, rice-fern, bangkal, sago and sedges sub-cluster, and the Terminalia forest as the outlier. The diversity of semi-aquatic and aquatic bugs was highest in the Bangkal forest while the lowest was in the fern-dominated swamp. The pattern of clustering shows 2 sub-clusters and the outlier Bangkal forest. On aquatic beetles, highest diversity was in the Terminalia forest. The sub-cluster consists of Terminalia habitat and rice-fern, while the other sub-cluster includes rice-Bangkal and rice-Terminalia. The resulting patterns of similarity in diversity and distribution of species in natural habitats and nearby ricefields indicate that ricefields are important temporary habitats for some aquatic insect species and serve as stepping stones for the movement of the insects.

The Value of Birds
Birds are present throughout almost every habitat across the globe. No matter where you go, there is
always evidence of birds even if you don't see the animals themselves. Things like holes pecked in tree
bark by woodpeckers or the remnants of a nest are indicative of the presence of birds. While such marks
left behind by these animals may seem insignificant, in many cases the activities of birds can have large
consequences for the ecosystems they inhabit, making them incredibly important in the overall
functioning of various ecosystems.
By contributing in such an important way to ecosystem health, birds can provide a number of direct
benefits to humans. The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, a study initiated by the United Nations,
coined the term “ecosystem services” to describe these kinds of services. According to this panel,
ecosystem services fall into four broadly defined categories and as we survey the diversity of birds
across the globe, we find many ways in which the activities of birds provide services in each one of
these.

Actions within this category are those that are required for all other ecosystem services to be produced,

Similar to the people Mesoamerica, the Amazon and Andean region, the Indian farmers in North America have consistently over thousands of years planted: beans, maize, squash, and squash, among other crops (Nabhan x). The outstanding characteristic of their contemporary farming system is a rich biodiversity. Their farming systems emerged over many centuries of biological and cultural evolution: it is an evidence of indigenous farmers interacting with nature without access to scientific knowledge, external inputs, or capital. These farmers have often relied on experimental knowledge, weather patterns and locally available resources in coming up with farming systems that have withstood climatic changes (Nabhan xi).
Several agrosystems in the Mesoamerican communities constitute key repositories. The agro-systems, from an agro-ecological viewpoint, appears as the integration of farm units and semi-natural or natural ecosystem in which crop production, as well as plant gathering,are actively done. Plant resources directly rely on the management by various human groups. cally contributes to the variation within species. For exam-
ple, a pea plant that is cross-fertilized with another pea plant
can produce offspring with four different looks! This genetic

The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

During past few decades, it has been observed that a close association occurs between the reproductive traits of flora and the nature of fauna found in Central American lowland forest areas. Researchers have observed that in last few centuries, some large herbivore species have become extinct. There extinction has lead to significant decline in the seed-dispersal and cross-pollination efficacy of the local plants of this area. However, inhabitation of humans and colonization has resulted into rearing of large cattles such as horses in these areas. The rearing of these large herbivores has played a crucial role in restoring the floral diversity in these areas because these herbivores help in seed-dispersal and sexual reproduction of plants by grazing and movements. Conseqeuntly, these observations has lead to recognize the impact and capability of restoration of local extinct/near-extinct floral diversity just by merely introducing large/small herbivores. Thus, a comparative analysis could be made between artifical methods of floral-diversity restoration as compared to natural and environmentally favourable methods.
