Please answer questions 1-4, thank you! Solution 1. Acids are the conpounds which give H+ ions in the aquous solution. Bases give OH- ions innthe aquous solutions. Acids are the proton donors and bases are the proton acceptors. 2. Litmus paper is the most common indicator used in the labs. Litmus turns green ti basic and red to acidic. Other is methyl ornage shows pink in acidic medium and shows yellow in basic and phenophthaline etc. 3. HClO is an acid it can give H+ ions i.e proton. Na2CO3 is formed by H2CO3 and NaOH. So it is a neutrilisation of weak acid with strong base so it will be a basic salt. H2O is neutral. H3BO3 is boric acid. As the name suggests its an acid it can donate H+. 4. Anything less than pH=7 is acidic uptill 1. pH=7 is neutral pH>7 is basic uptill 14 .
