for Blended
Focus Techs in
Training
Purpose of Phases
The purpose of each phase is to:
● Know what to expect in the coming months for EdTech here @ school
● Gain knowledge of new implementation
● Plan accordingly for PD and PL opportunities
● Address questions or issues along the way (troubleshoot)
Phase 1-Understanding our PL environment
PL or Professional Learning can happen anytime or any place throughout the year.
We must work together to utilize professional learning as an ongoing
implementation for our organization. Phase 1 will include the following:
● Book study “Can we talk?” with small group
● Send findings and discussions to group leaders
● Group leader will attend October faculty meeting to present findings from
study
Phase 2-ePortfolio Review
We have already had an intro to ePortfolios. Now it’s time for a review. Phase 2 will
include the following:
● Review ePortfolio KWL charts from all participants
● Show student progress with ePortfolios
● Compare and Contrast student ePortfolios to Admin (me) ePortfolio
● Assign student mentor to teacher (Tech in Training)
Phase 3-ePortfolio Teacher execution
After reviewing student ePortfolios, now we are ready to collaborate and share with
teachers and administration. Phase 3 will include the following:
● Assign “Tech in Training” to follow up with assigned teacher or admin
● “Tech in Training” will collaborate and offer help to teacher or admin ePortfolio
● Use scheduled class time to work on execution for teacher or admin ePortfolio
● Admin (me) will schedule one on one sessions with teachers to check progress
and completion of ePortfolio
Phase 4-Status of ePortfolios
The admin (me) will check in on teachers and administrators building their
ePortfolios and offer ongoing PL sessions. Phase 4 will include the following:
● PL sessions from Techs in Training on using ePortfolios as an LMS
● Presenting completed ePortfolios to parents
● Prepping teachers on how to incorporate ePortfolios to future LMS (Veracross)
Phase 5-Reflection and Projection to LMS
Teachers and administrations will have an opportunity to give feedback on a
frequent basis. Our new LMS, Veracross, will be implemented in the Fall of 2023 and
ePortfolios will aide in the classroom implementation. Phase 5 will include the
following:
● Aide in teacher and administrator questions and concerns
● Monitor feedback and implementation
● Celebrate success with ePortfolio implementation
● How to transition ePortfolios to Veracross (community, parents, students)
