The tool could be used in classrooms for subjects like art and language arts to illustrate stories, create posters, or demonstrate multi-step processes. While powerful, Pixlr has many functions that could distract students, so teachers would need to provide thorough tutorials.

Classroom Implications:
This site could easily be incorporated into the classroom, especially
into subjects like Art and Language Arts.
If students needed to create posters or visually represent ideas, this
could be a good way to do so while also incorporating technology
Students could use Pixlr to illustrate a story they read or have written,
create a poster when learning about propaganda, create a visual mind
map, and much more!
Teachers could use the “layering” effect, to teach concepts with multi-
step processes. For example: Algebra, or chemistry.

Pros: Free! Site is easy to navigate and pretty straight
forward. No login required. No installation required.
Wide range of editing abilities.
Cons: There is such a wide range of editing abilities,
and different areas of Pixlr, that it would require a
thorough tutorial with students before using it. Fun
tool, but could cause students to be easily distracted by
all the interesting functions.

Concluding Opinion:
I would definitely use this site in my classroom. I
think it provides a unique way to complete a
visual assignment. The site is easy to navigate
and would be a fun way to incorporate
technology.
