The document discusses how the film uses and challenges conventions of the romantic drama genre. It summarizes how different elements of film production, such as costume, lighting, props, setting, sound, and iconography, were employed in the film to either conform to or diverge from typical romantic drama conventions. In particular, costume was used to reflect the main character's emotions throughout the film, and flashbacks were incorporated to demonstrate the breakdown of the relationship. Within the constraints of a low budget, lighting and props still played a role in communicating the genre, while music strove to fit the theme of reflecting the relationship.

Similarly, Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora's "Black Widow" video borrows heavily from Kill Bill through its costumes, weapons, and recreation of fights. Madonna's "Material Girl" pays homage to Marilyn Monroe's performance in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, mirroring the heart imagery, costumes, and power dynamics portrayed of the central female characters. All three videos are examples of intertextuality through their direct allusions to other influential works.

Technical elements like stop motion, lighting and special effects are planned. The rough edit and next steps are referenced. Risk assessments are mentioned for the locations. Links to individual blogs with further details are provided at the end.
The music video for "Down by the River" by Milky Chance features both performance and narrative elements. Throughout, the artists are seen singing in a forest while various painted and isolated scenes unfold. The forest setting reinforces themes of loneliness and isolation from the lyrics. Other locations like a pathway, abandoned railway, and campfire further illustrate these themes. The costumes of the artists and children are simple, and lighting remains overcast, conveying a somber tone that matches the lyrics. Props like a teddy bear, monkey, and bicycle enhance the visuals and childlike aspects of the video without significant symbolic meaning.
The group proposes a music video concept for the band Citizens! that depicts three couples at different stages of their relationships through a narrative. They plan to film at various campus and public locations showing the couples interacting. Costumes and makeup will stereotype the couples as preppy, popular, and emo. Scenes include a chase ending and special effects. Risk assessments are outlined. The group discusses production roles, schedules, and next steps like storyboarding and permissions.
The document discusses how the student's media product uses and develops conventions of real rock music videos. It examines the genres, conventions around mise-en-scene elements like costumes, lighting and editing that were adhered to. The music video included a narrative portion to convey the song's message and multiple shots of the band performing with their instruments to portray them as a real band. The video was uploaded to YouTube to distribute it, following standard practice for promoting music videos.
The video for "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers depicts a burlesque show setting with voyeuristic overtones. The lead singer feels jealousy as his love interest pays attention to another wealthy man. Various shots are used including close-ups of the singer and love interest. Jump cuts between the performance and narrative depict the story of the love triangle through the song's lyrics.
The document analyzes the cinematography techniques used in music videos for several popular songs. It discusses elements like camera shots, lighting, mise-en-scene, and how they help convey the themes and moods of the songs. For each video, it describes the camera shot, lighting, mise-en-scene elements, and provides a brief context about the narrative or message of the song. The document aims to understand how visual elements in music videos complement and enhance the listening experience.
The document provides an analysis of the Marshmello music video for the song "Alone". It summarizes the following key points:
- The music video was directed by Daniel Burke and has characteristics typical of EDM genres like upbeat pacing, vibrant colors, and dark lighting.
- The video tells a concept-based story of Marshmello as a loner who gains popularity after his secret talent as a DJ is exposed.
- Visuals like lighting, shots, and colors change dramatically during the beat drop to match the music and draw in viewers.
- Close-ups are used to emphasize Marshmello's costume and mixing board during the drop. The video promotes Marshmello's brand

The document discusses plans for a music video and album cover for the band Alt-J. It chooses the song "Breezeblocks" which tells a story of an abusive relationship. Research found the target audience is ages 16-25 who prefer alternative music. Two characters, Thom and Autumn, are introduced who fit the target profile. Locations of a house and woods are selected - the house tells the relationship story and woods is for a chase scene. The album design folds out unconventionally and features lyrics. The music video follows the female character through close-ups and a chase, using techniques to show emotion and vulnerability while the band performs. It ends on her cliffhanging expression.
The video tells the narrative story of a boy with antlers who is bullied for being different. He meets a girl who accepts him, but her father disapproves of their relationship and tries to hurt the boy. In the end, it is revealed the father also has traits that make him different. The video combines this narrative story with performance clips of the band, and explores themes of acceptance and being an outsider. It uses the boy's antlers as a metaphor for any traits that make one feel marginalized from society.
The document discusses how the creators of a country music video drew inspiration from other country music videos. They analyzed videos by Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, Sam Smith, The 1975, and Blake Shelton to inform elements of shots, narrative, imagery, and tone in their own video. Key elements they incorporated included dissolve transitions between shots, casual clothing, natural imagery, a clear narrative, and sepia tones and slow motion to represent memories of the past. They also wanted to pay homage to early female country artists through a shot with dull lighting.
The document discusses plans for a music video for a song. It will tell a narrative story of a singer trying to win over a girl he loves, though she does not love him back. Various techniques will be used like different locations, costumes inspired by similar bands, and black and white imagery to make the video appealing yet different from the original. The target audience is identified as males ages 16-23 based on research into the pop rock genre.
The document outlines plans for a student film project that will be a thriller set in modern times. It discusses the costumes, filming location, story line, lighting, camera angles, music, typography, and transitions. The costumes will be normal 21st century clothes to reflect the modern setting. The story involves a young couple being watched unknowingly by a kidnapper, who seizes an opportunity to enter the house when the boyfriend leaves the room. Various camera techniques like close-ups, point-of-view shots, and music building tension will be used to develop an eerie atmosphere. Transitions will include fades and zooms between shots.
The music video for Blur's "Country House" contrasts city and country life. In the city, represented by a flat and the board game "Escape From The Rat Race," the band members are trapped and stressed. In the country, symbolized by a large house, life is depicted as relaxed and peaceful. The video uses techniques like fast and slow motion, jump cuts, and close-ups of the lead singer to match the tone and pace of the song and keep the audience engaged. It also references Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" video in its portrayal of sadness.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

2. The song we’ve chosen to use for
our music video is ‘Again’ by Pilots
of Paper Planes ; An indie rock
band from Bromley who have agreed
to let us shoot a music video for
them.
The song is about a guy who loses his
girlfriend.
3. We’re introduced to a cold but vibrant forest, empty but
something complete lingering in the atmosphere. A
quick flashback to a young man or teenager (Dom)
in the same forest carefully placing a ring on a Girl’s
finger. They exchange smiles. They seem happy.
We see Dom sitting in the forest, alone and miserable.
He has his fist locked tight onto something.
Flashback to increasing distance between the
couple. Parting hands, unread text messages, no
more Valentine’s Day cards being passed between
the two.
Dom loosens his fist and opens his palm. The ring!
Flashback to hands parting, ring slipped subtly from
her hand to his. This is, in fact, the end of their
relationship.
4. Dom, in the forest, stands up and wanders over to a
tree of importance to him. A love heart and two
names have been etched onto the stump.
Flashback to Dom and a Girl using keys to engrave
their names onto the tree stump.
A single tear runs down Dom’s cheek.
Dom tries to sketch over the love heart and names on
the tree stump. It’s not working.
Dom tries to set fire to the promise ring. That’s not
working either. He’s given up.
Dom’s band surrounds him in the forest, engulfing him
in the music. He has to let go of his ex girlfriend.
Our narrative is non linear as it will have flashbacks.
5. This is inspiration for the last
scene of the video. The lead
singer is surrounded by the
band in the forest.
This is inspiration for a shot
involving the valentine’s day
cards.
6. Pilots of Paper Planes is an unsigned band.
The release of the video would be on YouTube
and MySpace where the majority of
unsigned bands release their new songs and
videos. These websites also make it easier
for fans to access their song and video.
7. The specific shots we will use in our music video are:
› Close ups
› Medium Close/ Mid shots
› Long shots
› Establishing shots.
› Tracking
The close ups will be used to demonstrate the increased distance
between Dom and the Girl. The close ups will ensure the audience are
clear on the narrative.
The medium close/Mid shots will be used for the performance of the
band in the forest, and many shots of Dom in the forest to show his
surroundings etc.
The long shots will be used to show his vulnerability and aloneness in the
forest. It will also incorporate the audience.
The establishing shots will be used to establish Dom’s location; the
forest.
8. o The scenes with Dom and his girlfriend
will be black and white to represent the
dull vibe between the two. It will also
represent the basic emotions. The
lighting will be dark and the shots grainy.
o The happier flashbacks, on the other
hand, will be in colour to represent the
happiness and love. The lighting will be
filtered yellow or a light colour and the
shots slightly out of focus.
9. This is inspiration for the
bright flashbacks in our video.
It’s slightly out of focus and
very bright, signifying
happiness and freedom.
These are inspirations for the
black and white and grainy
scenes in the video. The
lighting is also very hard.
10. COSTUMES
Dom will wear darker, preferably black clothing
in the scenes involving him and his ex
girlfriend to reflect his mood and
circumstance.
However, he will wear vibrant, colourful clothing
in the happier flashback scenes.
Dom will wear brighter, casual clothing in the
performance scenes to represent his
liberation and ability to free him from the
relationship.
11. This is an inspiration for the
dark clothing that will be worn
in the flashbacks. The black
clothing connotes the
depressed and miserable
state.
This is an inspiration for the
brighter and vibrant clothing
that will be worn during the
performance.
12. The locations will be kept to a minimal to decrease too
much movement of the band’s instruments. We will use:
-A forest (preferably, but not essential)
-The studio (if the forest is not an available location)
-Streets of Orpington/Bromley.
We will use the forest (if available) to shoot the
performance scenes, but also the scenes in the forest
following the narrative.
We will use the studio if we cannot get access to the forest
13. We are planning to use Norman Park (if we given
permission to use the forest area from the management)
because it is vibrant and spacious.
If we cannot get permission, we will use the college studio
and green screen the forest.
We are planning to use the streets to shoot some scenes to
make the video look more urban. No specific streets, any
street will meet our needs.
14. Audience: Our target audience would be anyone ranging
from teenagers to adults (15 to 25, preferably male, but
female as well), who live in the UK, from the middle
class and enjoy the indie rock culture. The target
audience would be anyone who enjoys sports such as
skateboarding and long boarding, use social networking
sites such as Twitter and Facebook, and are very
independent.
We feel our target audience will be able to relate better to
the emotions and concept of a relationship in the
video, and also the genre of the song.
15. The visual style for our website will follow the general conventions of an indie
website.
The website will use font’s specific to the indie genre for example:
The colours used on the website will mainly be white, black, grey and blue as
this is suitable for indie music.
A logo which represents the band will be created which will be on the home
page of the site. Social networking images which link to the bands various
pages will be next to the logo.
Navigation
This is the main concept of a website; it is the thing that must be the most
appealing to the audience. We will include graphical buttons so that it
makes the site look more appealing to our audience.
16. Gallery:
We will include a gallery on the website with snap shots from the
video and behind the scenes and possible quick videos on it.
Embedded Media:
The website will have the music video embedded on the
homepage.
Since our music video will be set in the woods we will try to
incorporate images that relate to it on to the website. We will
also try to mimic the colour scheme that goes with the video.
Here are some indie websites we have been looking at for
inspiration:
17. Getting instruments into a park or a forest would be a
lot of work and dangerous, may trip on cords or
twigs, etc.
A lot of wildlife we may accidently harm.
Harmful plants such as poison ivy and stinging nettles
Getting the cameras into the forest or park may be
dangerous; cameras may fall due to uneven
surfaces and twigs.
(If studio is needed) getting instruments into the studio
will be hard with the turnstiles
18. Unfriendly people may be in the forest.
Equipment maybe heavy to carry in the streets.
Filming on the streets may be a hazard;
thieves, uneven paths, crowding and pavement
blocking.
19. - Talent release forms
- Location permission
- Production schedule
- Storyboard
