The social network tells the story of Mark Zuckerberg and the creation of Facebook. It begins with Mark developing the idea for Facebook in his dorm room at Harvard University in 2003. The main plot follows Mark as Facebook grows rapidly into a global social network, leading him to face lawsuits from his former friend Eduardo Saverin and the twins who claimed he stole their idea. In the end, Mark prevails in the lawsuits but has to pay monetary damages to the plaintiffs.
