This document outlines plans for an educational mobile app about the effects of alcohol abuse. The app would use interactive video scenarios to inform users about relevant laws, health impacts, and situations that could result from drinking. Users could make choices that determine the storyline's outcome. Facts and statistics would be researched and presented. Video sequences and consequences would be filmed from a first-person perspective. The app would be free with optional in-app purchases and advertisements. It aims to raise awareness without promoting fear of drinking.

There are lots of reasons why you might want to stop drinking alcohol. For some people, it’s a lifestyle change - to say goodbye to hangovers, sleep better, lose excess weight and have more energy. It might even be for a challenge, to buddy someone else who is giving up alcohol, or to raise money for charity.
For other people, stopping drinking can be essential for medical reasons. Perhaps because of an alcohol-related medical condition like liver disease, or because they start taking medication that reacts badly with alcohol.
Whatever your reason, the good news is that anyone can stop drinking. And if you’re thinking about removing alcohol from your life, you’re not alone.
Do you realize that national surveys have suggested that nearly
fourteen-million Americans, that's one in thirteen grownups, abuse
alcohol or are alcoholic? For many adults, moderate alcohol use (1-2
drinks daily for men and 1 drink daily for women and elderly) isn't
harmful.
As a matter of fact, moderate alcohol use has indicated to have a
favorable effect on cardiac health, and may be a pleasant plus to
social affairs. But, unhealthy alcohol abuse may be life-threatening.
Heavy drinking has been evidenced to step-up one's risk for
particular cancers, especially liver, esophagus, throat, and larynx. Just be healthy and make your life better. find a easy way to earn money and then use it or invest it for a better life.
first of all be healthy. start it today and think about new ideas.

Gaming Addiction is not different from any other types of addiction that are present in human nature nowadays. Such type of addiction is not unstoppable and these are so many ways to prevent its negative effects. In order to save its victims from misery and lack of discipline in life, a support group must be hired immediately; although some individuals who are not yet suffering from its worst effects can handle it by themselves without the assistance of the authorities.
It’s time to move on and learn to drink less now!
And the good news is, you don’t have to tell anyone.
Unlike AA or abstaining, you will naturally be drinking less, while feeling calmer and more confident around the people who used to monitor or judge you about your drinking.
Everything you need to know and learn has been put into this program so you can learn to drink less now, irrespective of your past drinking days.
• Introduction
As we now, talking to the consumer and sending specific information to make him aware of a certain product or services can be done through several ways, but the most effective way to reach the consumer is through advertising. Advertiser use different campaigns to communicate with their targeted audiences and make them aware of a product ,service or an idea and what benefit they can get from it.
We are an Anti Alcohol campaign that has one main goal; which is to protect the human being and the society as a whole from any activity that can harm human being and cause any damage to the environment. In addition to that, we want people to feel safe and live and let live.
Our attention today turns to the idea that most of the people, especially young people, damage their life by drinking Alcohol. According to some statistics, almost 23% of people who drink alcohol are the primary cause of public problems and car accidents. Also 8% of the people who drink die immediately after getting trunk.
Thus, we tried to create an Advertisement in which we are promoting neither a product nor a service, instead, we are promoting an idea in which we want to create awareness and make people aware of the danger and the negative impacts of alcohol on their personal life as well as the society as a whole. In this advertisement we show some pictures that give a clear idea about the effects of alcohol and how drunken people can behave in manners that cause enormous problems.
• The objectives
Our primarily aim from creating this advertisement is to educate people about the effects of alcohol. Since, the majority of people don’t have a clear idea about the real impact of alcohol which has double effects, the user as well as the society. We want also from this ad to make young people who drink take in mind these negative impacts in order to stop drinking alcohol or at least minimize the quantity consumed. Another objective that concerns us is to make the society safe from any harmful activities that can damage the public goods shared by the citizens, also make citizen live a stable life without any Annoyance from the other parties. We want also to encourage families to have open and frank discussions about the risks associated with drinking earlier. This is about making sure we put young people in charge of their future - not alcohol.
• The visual techniques & other elements
While creating the advertisement, we think of the visual techniques that can be used appropriately in order to deliver the message as it should and to attract the audience and make him watch the commercial till the end. Also, we tried to use the maximum number of optical effects in order to make the ad look attractive as well as play on the mind of the viewers and make them follow the video. Follows are the visual techniques and the optical used:

Flu Vaccine Alert in Bangalore Karnatakaaddon Scans
As flu season approaches, health officials in Bangalore, Karnataka, are urging residents to get their flu vaccinations. The seasonal flu, while common, can lead to severe health complications, particularly for vulnerable populations such as young children, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions.
Dr. Vidisha Kumari, a leading epidemiologist in Bangalore, emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated. "The flu vaccine is our best defense against the influenza virus. It not only protects individuals but also helps prevent the spread of the virus in our communities," he says.
This year, the flu season is expected to coincide with a potential increase in other respiratory illnesses. The Karnataka Health Department has launched an awareness campaign highlighting the significance of flu vaccinations. They have set up multiple vaccination centers across Bangalore, making it convenient for residents to receive their shots.
To encourage widespread vaccination, the government is also collaborating with local schools, workplaces, and community centers to facilitate vaccination drives. Special attention is being given to ensuring that the vaccine is accessible to all, including marginalized communities who may have limited access to healthcare.
Residents are reminded that the flu vaccine is safe and effective. Common side effects are mild and may include soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or muscle aches. These side effects are generally short-lived and far less severe than the flu itself.
Healthcare providers are also stressing the importance of continuing COVID-19 precautions. Wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining social distancing are still crucial, especially in crowded places.
Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting vaccinated. Together, we can help keep Bangalore healthy and safe this flu season. For more information on vaccination centers and schedules, residents can visit the Karnataka Health Department’s official website or follow their social media pages.

The prostate is an exocrine gland of the male mammalian reproductive system
It is a walnut-sized gland that forms part of the male reproductive system and is located in front of the rectum and just below the urinary bladder
Function is to store and secrete a clear, slightly alkaline fluid that constitutes 10-30% of the volume of the seminal fluid that along with the spermatozoa, constitutes semen
A healthy human prostate measures (4cm-vertical, by 3cm-horizontal, 2cm ant-post ).
It surrounds the urethra just below the urinary bladder. It has anterior, median, posterior and two lateral lobes
It’s work is regulated by androgens which are responsible for male sex characteristics
Generalised disease of the prostate due to hormonal derangement which leads to non malignant enlargement of the gland (increase in the number of epithelial cells and stromal tissue)to cause compression of the urethra leading to symptoms (LUTS

New Directions in Targeted Therapeutic Approaches for Older Adults With Mantl...i3 Health
i3 Health is pleased to make the speaker slides from this activity available for use as a non-accredited self-study or teaching resource.
This slide deck presented by Dr. Kami Maddocks, Professor-Clinical in the Division of Hematology and
Associate Division Director for Ambulatory Operations
The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, will provide insight into new directions in targeted therapeutic approaches for older adults with mantle cell lymphoma.
STATEMENT OF NEED
Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare, aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) accounting for 5% to 7% of all lymphomas. Its prognosis ranges from indolent disease that does not require treatment for years to very aggressive disease, which is associated with poor survival (Silkenstedt et al, 2021). Typically, MCL is diagnosed at advanced stage and in older patients who cannot tolerate intensive therapy (NCCN, 2022). Although recent advances have slightly increased remission rates, recurrence and relapse remain very common, leading to a median overall survival between 3 and 6 years (LLS, 2021). Though there are several effective options, progress is still needed towards establishing an accepted frontline approach for MCL (Castellino et al, 2022). Treatment selection and management of MCL are complicated by the heterogeneity of prognosis, advanced age and comorbidities of patients, and lack of an established standard approach for treatment, making it vital that clinicians be familiar with the latest research and advances in this area. In this activity chaired by Michael Wang, MD, Professor in the Department of Lymphoma & Myeloma at MD Anderson Cancer Center, expert faculty will discuss prognostic factors informing treatment, the promising results of recent trials in new therapeutic approaches, and the implications of treatment resistance in therapeutic selection for MCL.
Target Audience
Hematology/oncology fellows, attending faculty, and other health care professionals involved in the treatment of patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL).
Learning Objectives
1.) Identify clinical and biological prognostic factors that can guide treatment decision making for older adults with MCL
2.) Evaluate emerging data on targeted therapeutic approaches for treatment-naive and relapsed/refractory MCL and their applicability to older adults
3.) Assess mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapies for MCL and their implications for treatment selection
Pulmonary Thromboembolism - etilogy, types, medical- Surgical and nursing man...VarunMahajani
Disruption of blood supply to lung alveoli due to blockage of one or more pulmonary blood vessels is called as Pulmonary thromboembolism. In this presentation we will discuss its causes, types and its management in depth.
2. Idea
This App will be an informative game which allows the
users to make decisions that will affect the final outcome.
This App will give information on the effects of alcohol
abuse it will do this by highlighting;
The law on Drinking
The effect alcohol can have on the human body
Situations that could get the user into trouble
The app will be individual to the user depending on their
age, gender and health issues i.e pregnancy), the
information that the user gives on themselves will affect
the scenarios in the game and the information that is given.
3. Idea
The app will be video based and will set-up scenarios for example
if the user is under aged then the scenario would be drinking in a
park and the information given to the user would be based
around under aged drinking.
A video will be played and in the video the character will be
faced with a problem with multiple choices each choice resulting
in different outcomes for the character.
This app will also give facts about drinking to help the user
become more aware about the safety of drinking alcohol, this app
will not try to persuade a person not to drink as it is not designed
to make the user fearful of drinking which is why not every
scenario where the user decides to drink alcohol will result in a
negative outcome.
4. Idea
The app will keep the user interested by using various
interesting stories lines, the user will be able to decide
what way they would like the story to go.
The app will contain interactive short films, these films
will keep the user interested as well as informing the
user on the effects of alcohol.
Once the entire film has finished the option for a user
to take a quiz if the choice to.
5. Research
In order to portray some of the information about drinking, some
helpful statistics and facts on drinking will need to be researched this
information can be found on the drink aware website;
https://www.drinkaware.co.uk/check-the-facts/alcohol-and-your-child
Statistics and facts about underage drinking
Long term risks
Liver damage
Brain development
Drinking later in life
Short term risks
Vulnerability
Unprotected sex
Alcohol poisoning
Appearance
6. Under aged drinking
Some key statistics:
20 million units of alcohol are consumed in a week by 11 to 17 year olds.
By 15 years, most children have drunk alcohol.
Children in England are more likely to drink alcohol than children in many
other countries.
500,000 young people aged 11 to 15 years were drunk in the previous four weeks.
The majority of 15 and 16 year olds (71%) associate alcohol consumption with
positive consequences and having fun.
Early age of starting drinking is associated with higher trends of alcohol
dependence in adulthood and a wider range of other adverse consequences.
7. The Law on under-aged drinking
It is against the law;
To sell alcohol to someone under 18 anywhere.
For an adult to buy or attempt to buy alcohol on behalf
of someone under 18.
For someone under 18 to buy alcohol, attempt to buy
alcohol or to be sold alcohol.
8. Consequences of under-aged
drinking
If the police suspect someone under 18 has alcohol in a
public place, they have the power to confiscate it. If
young people get caught with alcohol three times they
could face a social contract, a fine or arrest. Getting a
criminal record could affect future job prospects and
make it more difficult to travel to countries like the
USA.
The police can also confiscate alcohol from
someone, no matter what their age, if they believe it
has been, or will be drunk by someone under 18 in a
public place.
9. Health effects of alcohol
Appearance
Alcohol and your skin
Alcohol dehydrates your body
Beat the bloat
Alcohol can also cause your face to look bloated and puffy.
You might find it bloats your stomach too.
Spots and smells
The liver processes most of the alcohol you drink, but some of
it leaves the body straight through your breath, sweat and
urine.
10. Health effects of alcohol
Alcohol and mental health
1. Alcohol alters your brain chemistry
Alcohol is a depressant, affecting our thoughts, feelings and
actions – and sometimes our long-term mental health.
2. Alcohol can actually increase anxiety and stress
rather than reduce it
Alcohol can contribute to feelings of depression and
anxiety and make stress harder to deal with.
11. Health effects of alcohol
3. Alcohol + depression = a vicious cycle
If you drink heavily and regularly you’re likely to develop
some symptoms of depression.
Warning signs that alcohol is affecting your mood include:
disturbed sleep
Feeling lethargic and tired all the time
low mood
experiencing anxiety in situations where you would normally feel
comfortable.
4. Alcohol is linked to suicide, self-harm and psychosis
Alcohol can make people lose their inhibitions and behave
impulsively, so it can lead to actions they might not otherwise
have taken – including self-harm and suicide.
12. Current Apps on the subject
Alcohol and your brain
Description
This health education App explains the physiological effects of alcohol on the
developing brain. A 7 minute video with captivating 3D animations, voiceover
& graphics, takes you on a guided tour of the anatomical structures of the
brain, to educate about what happens to specific structures in the brain when
alcohol is consumed in excess.
Although this app is an informative app on the effects of alcohol it is very different from
the proposed app this app focuses solely on the effect of alcohol on the brain and not on
other consequence that are formed due to alcohol.
‘Alcohol and your brain’ was made to help the user make informed decisions on drinking
and also to make them aware the affect that their drinking will have on the brain, the
proposed app will give the user a wider knowledge on what trouble alcohol can cause
13. Current Apps on the subject
DrinkAware
Description
DrinkAware is an alcohol units calculator and consumption diary. If you want
to stop drinking, or just cut down your alcohol intake, then this application
can help you. It provides a number of features to make it easy to use allowing
users to keep an accurate track of how many alcohol units they consume on a
day by day basis.
Again this app is very different to the proposed app this app is very useful but it is used to
help the user cut down on the amount they drink rather than inform the on the affects the
alcohol is having.
14. Current campaign videos
HSE Alcohol Awareness Advert (underage);
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yg1KuBhg7c
Don’t let drink sneak up on you;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTgQKWYibZ4
UK anti-drink driving advert;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQtTREndJKk
15. Business plan
This app will make money from selling it to different
campaigns such as Drinkaware, NUS connect etc.
These campaigns will pay for the app because it will help
make the public more aware of the effects of alcohol and
will do it in a fun manor.
This app will be free to purchase which will mean that it
would need to use advertisements in order to make a profit
this will be done by having a banner at the top of the screen
promoting other products or companies, the user will have
the option to stop the adverts but will have to pay a small
fee to do so.
16. Expansion
There is a lot of room for expansion/franchising on this app as the
concept is open to other campaigns.
For example instead of Alcohol awareness;
Drug awareness
Sexual health awareness
Quit smoking
Cancer awareness
etc.
More content could be made available for the user to purchase
depending on how well the film go down, the content could include;
Extra decisions and storylines for specific scenarios
And completely new scenarios to download
These could be made optional for the user and cost them to download.
17. Video sequence breakdown
The scenario that will be filmed will be the scenario for
a under age male, only certain section will be filmed as
each full scenario will be 10-15minutes long.
The underage scenario will start with a POV shot of a
male teenager, playing a games console.
18. Video sequence breakdown
Film
The underage scenario will start with a POV shot of a male
teenager, playing a games console.
The teenage will get a text message from his phone asking him to
get alcohol for ‘tonight’
The character will then go to an alcohol cupboard.
Decision page
Steal or not
If the user clicks steal then he will take the alcohol and leave the
house with the alcohol.
If the user clicks no then he will close the cupboard and leave the
house empty handed.
19. Video sequence breakdown
Consequences if he steals
The user will take the alcohol out of the cupboard and
leave the house with it.
The User will get into trouble with his parents, and
become more at risk of getting drunk quicker.
If he doesn’t steal
The user will leave the house without the alcohol.
His friends will not be happy with him for not bringing
alcohol and demand that he gets some from the shop.
20. Planning
All of the scenarios and storylines will be from the Point of view of the user and
they will be addressed directly in the film (meaning the actors will and look
directly into the camera).
The majority of the films will be shot with natural lighting to make them feel
more real and to keep the colours dingy.
Crew;
2 people
Someone on camera
Someone booming
Equipment;
Canon 550D – give a clear, high quality image.
Rode NTG-2 microphone – High quality sound
Marantz PMD661 – it’s practical and easy to use
Fig Rig – this will be used to get relatively stable POV shots.
21. Planning
The video for the app will be really easy to film and
edit as they will be relatively simple continuous
shots, these will be broken up with ‘decision pages’
which will define where the story goes.
