PIPAL TREE is not just a non-profitable society which teaches handicraft but a lot more than that.
We not just teaches but also provide a window though which they can peep around and able to
earn a basic livelihood for their family. We are a combination of technical skill along with
entrepreneur skill.
We not only generate employment but generate a light of hope for them to live which was dimmed
in their poverty.
Our handmade products are loved all over. We have four outlet at Jamshedpur & Ranchi and
supply our products to the government undertaking bodies like “Jharcraft” and “Kusum” emporium.
Our long term goal is to create social entrepreneur in
every village and make the villagers able to earn their
basic needs with a a respectable life in the society.

the starting stage we trained 45 women and gave their
product a platform to sell in the Indian market, right now our

Cultural Importance - Handicrafts play very important role in representing the culture and traditions
of any country or region. Handicrafts are a substantial medium to preserve of rich tradition art,
heritage and culture, traditional skills and talent which are associated with people’s lifestyle and
history.
The Economic Importance - Handicrafts are hugely important in terms of economic development.
They provide ample opportunities for employment even with low capital investments and become a
prominent medium for foreign earnings.
