The pink dolphin lives in the rivers of the Amazon rainforest. It has adapted physically to live in these murky rivers, with a long beak to catch prey, small eyes to see better in muddy water, and a flexible body that allows it to swim fast. Though the reason for their pink color is unknown, theories include it being an adaptation to river life or their close capillaries. They face threats from fishing, pollution, and hunting for body parts.
