In 1620, the Mayflower sailed from Plymouth, England to “the New World.”Chapter 1 - Pilgrims Set Sail102 people sailed on the mayflower.  One person died and one was born.  They didn’t have enough water or any bathrooms.
They made some rules and called them the Mayflower Compact.Chapter 1 - Pilgrims Set SailIt was very short and 41 men signed it
The Pilgrims landed in Cape Cod. Chapter 2 - The New World

Wampanoag families lived in round houses called wetus.Chapter 3 - The Wampanoag
Many people led the Pilgrims through the hard times.Chapter 4 – Hard TimesWilliam Bradford was the new governor.
Chapter 4 – Hard TimesCaptain Myles Standish was a soldier whose wife died.  He helped many people because he did not get sick.
Chapter 4 – Hard TimesJohn Alden married Priscilla Mullins and lived in Plymouth then they moved to Duxbury.
The pilgrims decided to celebrate with a festival.Chapter 5 - The Big Old FeastThey invited the Wampanoag.
The Wampanoag shared their food and traditions with the Pilgrims.Chapter 5 - The Big Old Feast
Houses in Plymouth were made of wattle and dawb.Chapter 6 - Plymouth Grows
Plymouth grew and today it is a beautiful town.  I like to visit gift shops and walk by the harbor.Chapter 6 - Plymouth Grows
