The document provides tips for conserving electricity in households. It suggests turning off lights when not in use and using more efficient bulbs. For cooking, it recommends prepping ingredients beforehand and avoiding opening lids unnecessarily. For refrigerators, it advises regular defrosting and not overloading. It also gives washing and ironing tips like handwashing small loads and ironing weekly. Fans should be turned off when not needed and computers and TVs used judiciously. Conserving electricity can help save money on bills.
Summary:
In order to save electricity we must learn how to minimize the use of our appliances and we must also set times for things that are needed and are badly needed. We do not need to much usage of electricity because we can have alternatives here and there so conserving is not a difficult way we must just learn, or do it first in our selves.
A nother thing is we can also use energy saving appliances like the bulbs the refrigerators and many more so conserving is not a problem.
Your home is the largest investment of your life. Apart from buying a house, you have to maintain the house which involves cost on a regular basis.
Besides the initial cost, a home is a series of operating systems that use energy and by taking care of those systems in a proper manner you can save much of the cost. Your cost gets multiplied if the systems aren’t efficient, or if your home is over 10 years old, then perhaps you should think of updating those systems. New generations of Energy Star appliances, heating and air/systems, and environmentally friendly insulation can bring your cost down to a great extent.
Most of the energy savings can be initiated with simple upgradation of appliances. The initial cost of upgrading may be on the high side but you can save a lot once you own an energy efficient home.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
3. Conserving electricity is very essential in
our households especially in our day today.
Electricity fees are always increasing. Yes we
have roll – backs in electricity fee but the
increase is two times how much the roll- back
is. Today money is really hard to find so we
must conserve things we can conserve
especially the electricity because almost all of
our gadgets and household appliances are
electric so we must be very thrift in the usage
of the electricity. So here are some tips we
gathered:
4. LIGHTING:
Turn off the lights
when not in use
Use flourescents
bulbs instead of
incandescent bulbs
You can use the day
lights, turn off lights
whenever possible
Use cool and light
colored curtains to
make the room more
brighter
Install light
dimmers or photo
electric switches that
turn off lights during
daylight
5. COOKING:
if not in a rush do not use
electrical cooking device instead use
the manual one or “PUGON”
Fix all ingredients before cooking
Avoid always opening the lid of
the pot while cooking to prevent
heat from escaping and you will not
need much time in cooking your
food.
Match the pan size to the burner
Use microwave rather than ovens
Preheating ovens are
unnescessary
6. REFRIGERATOR:
Do not leave the door of the refrigerator open for
a long time
Defrost regularly
Do not store hot food
Do not overload
Always clean you refrigerator
Unplug the refrigerator while ironing
Clean condenser coils on the back of the
refrigerators
Keep away from oven or dishwasher
Turn thermostat down in 37 farenheit and turn on
energy saver switch
7. WASHING
MACHINE:
If laundry is
few use
handwash
instead of using
washing
machine
Use washing
machine once a
week
8. IRONING:
Iron clothes once a week
Unplug the iron during last minute
Do not iron clothes that are not
needed to iron
Spray clothes with water so that it
will be easier to iron
9. ELECTRIC FAN:
Turn off when it is not needed
Open windows instead of using
electric fan
Always clean your fans
13. So my dear classmates if you
saw that your electric bills are
too high now you know now
why so you must say to the
other members of the family
to conserve electricity in order
to save money. But you must
start it on yourself first so that
they may follow.
14. SPIRITUAL APPLICATION
In conserving electrical energy with regarrds in
appliances we should prioritize to use those appliances
whicg are more useful rather than those which are not
really need to use. Just like in our spiritual life we should
seek God first before anything else we should prioritize
Him.
Another thing is we are all the instruments of God
and He did many things just to save us so we must do
the same thing we must also do things that are
according to His will in order not to waste our lives.
