• I like the use of the full body shot, as then the complete style from head to toe of
my model can be incorporated and there is just more to ensure the theme of my
magazine is apparent and obvious to the reader.
• I used a high angle shot for my full body image so my model could be seen head to
toe even though she is sitting down.
• The use of this high angle/long shot also presents my model to the reader as
looking extremely chic. From her positioning and facial expression, she gives off
the idea that she is aware of her surrounding and aware of her body and how to
make her body give of the feeling that she is not only in complete control of herself
but everything she touches and her surroundings, as she is an independent and
influential solo artist.
• This links in with my genre because my models facial expressions and body
language suggest that she is this harmonious yet non corporate artist. Also, my
models costume portrays the genre because she looks like a shabby festival chic,
yet classy, retro character, through the 1980s/90s dungarees and flower garland
look which is the whole aim of my magazine.

• I like the use of the medium close up shot as although her entire body can’t be seen,
her silhouette is still imaginable and can be envisioned through her stance and also
the dark shadowing/background used helps to highlight her face and the structure of
it, as they don’t take much if any attention away from the model.
• Through the use of the shot and the surroundings also, my model again gives off
the aroma of determined woman who will make and push her way into the music
industry with an extravagant entrance.
• Her facial expression shows that she knows what she is doing and is so effortlessly
doing it at that.
• This links in with my genre because my models facial expressions and body
language present the idea that she is this harmonious yet non corporate artist
through the suggestive but elegant stance she has in this picture. Also, my models
costume portrays the genre because she looks how a beautiful active actress
through Hollywood's golden age would have looked. This classy aspect is one of
the aims of my magazine.

• This close up shot shows and defines my models head and neck upwards. I
like this as the focus of the image is directly on to the model face.
• I used a high angle shot for this close up so the camera was looking down
on my model to have this aerial overview of her face for effect.
• The use of flowers in my models hair is in-keeping with the shabby, retro
(festival) chic theme.
• This links in with my genre because my models facial expression suggests
that she is this harmonious yet non corporate artist. Her expression and the
look/glimmer in her eyes gives the audience the idea that she is dreaming,
and in a world of her own, which is also helped by the use of flowers
throughout her hair as they emphasise the idea of a mystical theme as well
as all the other aforementioned themes.
