This letter includes the final report from the Prescription for Change Project, which aimed to make pharmacies tobacco-free in California. The project has now ended but the database of tobacco-free pharmacies and website will continue. Contact information is provided for the project director at the University of California San Francisco for any future collaborations on promoting tobacco-free pharmacies. An enclosed final report provides more details on the outcomes and impacts of the Prescription for Change Project.

Prestnptzon for Change Project closed its doors on June 30, 2003. However, the statewide
database of tobacco-free pharmacies and the RxforChange. or g web site will be
maintained. Prescription for Change staff have enjoyed working with you in furthering the
effort to achieve our goal of statewide tobacco free pharmacies. Although the
Prescretion for Change project may be ending, our commitment to tobacco free
pharmacies will remain active and strong. We look forward to the future when all
pharmacies, independent and chain alike, stop selling tobacco products.
