Passage Foods cooking sauces, a delicious meal can be
prepared in under 20 minutes using 3 simple steps. Our
sauces create restaurant quality flavour fast – making
them perfect for the busy family.
All Natural & Gluten Free – We know that many people
are concerned about the use of artificial colours,
flavours, flavour enhancers and preservatives. That’s
why we have developed our products with all natural
ingredients. Additionally, we’ve made a commitment to
ensure all of our sauces are gluten free. The great thing
is, we’ve been able to do so without compromising on
quality or flavour.

Our chef and founder, Chris Doutre, arrived
in Australia in 1980, bringing his impressive
knowledge, talent and long association with North
Indian cuisine. He soon established a popular
restaurant in Brisbane, which he owned and
operated for many years. Although winning many
awards as a restaurateur, Chris was determined
to share his passion for his native cuisine with all
of Australia. In 2004 he formed a partnership with
Flavour Makers Pty Ltd, a young and successful food
manufacturing business, and from this partnership
Passage Foods was born. The vision for Passage
Foods quickly grew beyond Indian cuisine. Since its
inception Chris has worked tirelessly with specialist
chefs to create a diverse range of products covering
many of the world’s cuisines. Today consumers all
over the world can benefit from Chris’s dream by
enjoying his range of authentic, natural, and easy
to use cooking sauces.

the Passage to India range was created by Indian Chef and company
founder Chris Doutre. With a product in the range to suit every
palate, Passage to India provides the perfect meal solution for the
busy family. As a healthy alternative to fast food, Passage to India
products can be prepared in less time than it takes to order in.

Cherry Tomato Napoletana
Napoletana as the name would suggest was
invented in Naples, so to develop this classic
dish we started there. The sun blessed fields of
San Marzano, near Naples, have grown the best
tomatoes for centuries. For extra depth of flavour
we’ve added sweet cherry tomatoes, garlic and of
course a hint of basil.
Cherry Tomato Marinara
Surrounding the Bay of Naples the sun blessed
fields of San Marzano have produced the richest
and sweetest tomatoes for centuries. Ask a
Neapolitan they will tell you the soil is blessed by
God. If you ask us they’re right. Seasoned with sea
salt and parsley according to tradition.
Cherry Tomato Bolognese
To make an authentic Bolognese sauce we started
in Bologna, Northern Italy. This is their traditional
recipe, blending lightly fried onion, celery and
carrot with the sweetest tomatoes from nearby
Parma. Delicately seasoned with herbs and spices
according to local tradition.

  • 3. Our chef and founder, Chris Doutre, arrived in Australia in 1980, bringing his impressive knowledge, talent and long association with North Indian cuisine. He soon established a popular restaurant in Brisbane, which he owned and operated for many years. Although winning many awards as a restaurateur, Chris was determined to share his passion for his native cuisine with all of Australia. In 2004 he formed a partnership with Flavour Makers Pty Ltd, a young and successful food manufacturing business, and from this partnership Passage Foods was born. The vision for Passage Foods quickly grew beyond Indian cuisine. Since its inception Chris has worked tirelessly with specialist chefs to create a diverse range of products covering many of the world’s cuisines. Today consumers all over the world can benefit from Chris’s dream by enjoying his range of authentic, natural, and easy to use cooking sauces.
