sufficient precautionary instructions or protective equipments. According to Ivan Clavijos, an ex
conventional banana producer, despite wearing masks, goggles, and gloves, chemical gases can
still get absorbed in the workers clothes, and through sweats will enter the body, blood, and liver
via pores on the skin, producing ammonia in the blood, or can result in loss of sight, hearing, or

Glenn Murcutt, Pritzker Architecture Prize winning architect, designed the Marika Alderton House
for Aboriginal leader Banduk Marika and her husband. The Marika Alderton House sits in North
Australia in Yirrkala, an indigenous community in Arnhem Land on a landscape facing a beach on
the gulf of Carpentaria. The house links back to Aboriginal huts while focusing on the extremities
of the weather in the surrounding environment. The house was seen as a link between Aboriginal

divided allowing for use throughout the whole year. The main living area is located on the east

stability is achieved through the length of the house. The eaves overhang to prevent direct

to drop far enough to provide shade all year, as there is no cold climate. The house opens out on
every side to provide ventilation throughout, together with the shutters allows air to be channeled
through the house. The low pressure of the hot air causes it to rise, pulling the cool air in. The

I started Tang Soo Do when I was 4 or 5 years old. I was scared and I did not want to go onto the

Abstract
Early policing in Colonial America had its beginnings in England. Police departments in America
started to follow the trend. Actually, they were not police departments as we know them today.
Policing in colonial America began as a night watch program of volunteers in the early 1600 s in
the northern colonies, specifically in Boston. Early policing was not the same throughout the
colonies. Southern colonies developed their own system of policing based on the needs of the
community using watch groups and organized groups of white men known as slave patrols. The
policing systems changed as the colonies grew in population, more small businesses, the
development of large industries and more funding became available. War and then revolution
strained the Boston watch system...the French and Indian war 1756 1763... (Wadman

should come to mind is carbohydrates. They are one of the main nutrients where we get our
energy from, and are defined as a compound made up of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, that is
