Alexis saturn
Saturn is an orange gas giant made mostly of hydrogen and helium. It has a system of wide, flat rings made of ice and rock particles. Saturn also has many moons, including one called Titan that is larger than the planet Mercury. The document describes Saturn's physical features like its rings and storms, as well as fun facts about its size and composition compared to Earth. It also shares a story from the perspective of a girl named Sara who lives on Saturn.
Spacecraft bryce

Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. It has many moons, including four large moons - Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. Io has a volcanic surface that resembles a pizza. Jupiter experiences intense storms and erupting gases.

The ISS orbits Earth every 90 minutes and has accommodations for up to seven astronauts to conduct experiments in areas like biology, physics and astronomy. At over 357 feet long, the ISS is the largest structure ever built in space.

Stars are giant balls of hot glowing gas that burn and shine in the night sky. A constellation is a pattern made from groups of stars that form imaginary shapes. Stars range in age from 1 billion to 10 billion years old and are formed from clouds of dust and gas. Over time, older stars shrink as they continue glowing.
Abacus slides
This document shows an abacus with beads in the hundreds, tens, and ones places adding up to 157. It also lists different colored beads that equal people's needs and shows addition problems bringing together the concepts of working together and supporting each other.
Big systems
A system is a set of connected parts that form a complex whole. The more parts a system has, the more complex it is. Examples of systems discussed include transportation systems like tram lines, bus routes, and trains working together, as well as waste management systems involving garbage trucks, landfills, recycling trucks, recycling plants, compost collectors, and compost being returned to soil. Students are challenged to create posters about complex systems, including the name of the system and its parts.
Sunlight Is A Renewable Resource
The sun is essential for life on Earth as it provides renewable energy in the form of electricity via solar panels, helps grow fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, and allows plants like flowers to bloom. Without the sun, it would be perpetually dark and difficult to see or use electricity, significantly impacting modern life and our ability to produce and access food.
Animals Are A Renewable Resource
Animals are renewable resources as they reproduce and their populations can regrow over time. However, if animal populations are hunted or killed unsustainably, they risk extinction. Different animal species are used by humans for food, clothing, and ivory, so over-exploitation must be avoided to ensure animal populations remain healthy and renewable into the future.
Shadow Experiment
This experiment is about shadows. When you shine a light on an opaque frame, the light will take the shape of the frame because light cannot travel through opaque materials. You will need a flashlight, cardboard or thick paper, and scissors to cut the cardboard into a shape without cutting through the frame. Then you shine the flashlight on the cutout shape to see its shadow on the wall.
Traveling Light Experiment
Nathan introduces an experiment called "Traveling Light" that demonstrates how light travels in a straight line and reflects off mirrors. The experiment uses 4 mirrors attached to a surface with blue tack and a light source. Learners shine the light on the first mirror and can observe how the light reflects from mirror to mirror in a straight line. Keeping the mirrors straight is important for the light to travel as intended.
