Technology leader
Performax International’s reputation in the market place for quality
production stems from its investment in technology and a highly
skilled workforce. Engineering excellence is entrenched in the DNA
of Performax, with around one engineer employed for every six
tecnicalsn.
The components produced as part of the re-engineering process
are 3D modelled or reverse-engineered from laser scanned data.
This model is used to create a 3D printed physical prototype for
assessment of fit and finish.
When the articles are complete, a mould is made and the item can
then be “shot” with our plastic-injection moulding machine, producing
factory-comparable components that clip or bolt in as per the original
article.
Finite Element Analysis is conducted on critical components to ensure
robust design.
Mould Flow Analysis is part of tooling approval for its injection
moulded components.
Virtual Review of interfacing components is performed for review of
fitment.
All components are a bolt-in part, part-numbered and 100%
consistent. Nothing is hand-made and no component is made as a
one-off.
All vehicles carry full Australian Design Rule compliance, with work
performed in-house and certified to ISO 9001 Quality Assurance
Standards.

Key markets
Performax International’s reputation, especially in the areas of R&D and
conversion quality, has attracted serious interest from overseas.
The company supply conversion kits to south African car companies and
have increasing demand to deliver our vehicles to Papua new Guinea, Sri
Lanka, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and other
African states.
Business partnership opportunities continue to be received from these
countries as well as the UK and other RHD countries.
Right hand drive markets
Today, about 66.1% of the world’s people live in left-hand-drive countries
and 33.9% in right-hand traffic countries.
About 72% of the world’s total road distance carries traffic on the right
and 28% on the left.
This equates to around four billion people who drive on the right-side of
the road, and two billion who drive on the left, and many of these people
crave American pick-ups, muscle cars and sports cars.
Australia
Australia drives on the left. The decision to drive on the left side of the
road was made in the early 19th century in the early period of the British
colony.
All LHD vehicles must be converted to RHD if under 30-years-old, except
in Western Australian where they are only required to be 15-years-old for
registration.

PERFORMAX INTERNATIONAL CAPABILITY STATEMENT 31
Before a vehicle can be registered in Australia for the first time it must be
fitted with an Identification Plate (Compliance Plate). The “manufacturer”
who is the person or company taking responsibility for the vehicle being
modified to meet the required Australian Design Rules (ADRs) may affix
an Identification Plate to a vehicle if an approval has been issued by the
Administrator of Vehicle Standards under the Motor Vehicle Standards Act
1989.
The Australian Government, through the Department of Infrastructure
and Regional Development, regulates the importation of new and used
vehicles into Australia, and under which circumstances these vehicles
become registered.
The regulations are primarily designed to ensure that roadworthiness and
safety remain uncompromised, and that every vehicle that is imported
complies with Australian standards before there is an application for
registration.
With the Australian Government granting
it’s approval for Full Volume Compliance for
Performax F-Series Super Duty, Chevrolet
Silverado and GMC Sierra, Performax
International is formally recognised as being
in the top tier of car manufacturers for the
Australian market.

Currently, Performax is approved to import (annually)
Through working closing with the Australian Government, and with a
strong commitment to compliance and quality, Performax International
has emerged as a dominant force in the Australian car importing/
manufacturing sector, now operating under all four major government
approved schemes for the importing, manufacturing and retailing of
vehicles.
Full Volume Compliance (FVC)
A full volume manufacturer is one that holds approval to place
identification plates on new vehicles supplied to the Australian market in
unlimited numbers. Compliance tests are performed on a representative
vehicle or batch of vehicles.
The results of these tests are used to demonstrate that all vehicles of
that type meet the ADRs. As some of the tests require that a vehicle be
crashed, it is only cost effective to obtain approval to fit plates to vehicle
models that have sizeable markets.
Performax is importing the Performax Ford F-Series Super Duty, and the
Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Denali 2500 and 3500 ranges under
this scheme.
Low Volume Compliance (LVN)
The Low Volume Scheme for new vehicles allows for the supply to the
market of up to 25 or 100 vehicles per year per vehicle category. The
Scheme provides a major concession in that it allows alternative forms
of evidence to be submitted against some of the ADRs. In the main this
applies to ADRs where destructive or expensive testing is required.
The Low Volume Scheme for new vehicles is limited to vehicle make/
models that are on the Register of Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicles
(the Register). The eligibility requirements for entry on the Register are
set out in Regulation 24 of the Motor Vehicle Standards Regulations
1989 and in the Administrator of Vehicle Standards Circular 0-2-12.
Performax International is importing and re-engineering such vehicles
as the Toyota Tundra, previous models of the Chevrolet Silverado
and GMC Sierra Denali, Dodge Ram and performance cars such as
Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro and Ford Mustang.
Regulatory framework
PERFORMAX INTERNATIONAL CAPABILITY STATEMENT 33
Registered Automotive
Workshop Scheme (RAWS)
The Registered Automotive Workshop Scheme (RAWS) allows for
the importation and supply of used specialist or enthusiast vehicles
to the market in Australia. Under this scheme only a RAW can import
a used vehicle into Australia. RAWS arrangements do not apply for
vehicles manufactured before 1 January 1989 or vehicles that are to be
imported under the Personal Import Scheme.
Performax International is importing and re-engineering such vehicles
as the Toyota Tundra, previous models of the Chevrolet Silverado
and GMC Sierra Denali, Dodge Ram and performance cars such as
Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro and Ford Mustang.
Specialist and Enthusiast
Vehicle Scheme (SEVS)
SEVS is a register of vehicle make/models that have been assessed as
meeting the criteria in the Regulations for classification as specialist
and enthusiast vehicles. These are make/models that are not available
from the mainstream manufacturers and cater for consumers with
specialist and enthusiast interests.
Performax International is importing and re-engineering such vehicles
as Chevrolet Corvette, Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang under this
scheme.

These principles are at the core of everything that happens at Performax International: The Performax Difference PERFORMAX INTERNATIONAL CAPABILITY STATEMENT 13
  • 14. 14 PERFORMAX INTERNATIONAL CAPABILITY STATEMENT Technology leader Performax International’s reputation in the market place for quality production stems from its investment in technology and a highly skilled workforce. Engineering excellence is entrenched in the DNA of Performax, with around one engineer employed for every six tecnicalsn. The components produced as part of the re-engineering process are 3D modelled or reverse-engineered from laser scanned data. This model is used to create a 3D printed physical prototype for assessment of fit and finish. When the articles are complete, a mould is made and the item can then be “shot” with our plastic-injection moulding machine, producing factory-comparable components that clip or bolt in as per the original article. Finite Element Analysis is conducted on critical components to ensure robust design. Mould Flow Analysis is part of tooling approval for its injection moulded components. Virtual Review of interfacing components is performed for review of fitment. All components are a bolt-in part, part-numbered and 100% consistent. Nothing is hand-made and no component is made as a one-off. All vehicles carry full Australian Design Rule compliance, with work performed in-house and certified to ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Standards. The Performax Difference

  • 32. Before a vehicle can be registered in Australia for the first time it must be fitted with an Identification Plate (Compliance Plate). The “manufacturer” who is the person or company taking responsibility for the vehicle being modified to meet the required Australian Design Rules (ADRs) may affix an Identification Plate to a vehicle if an approval has been issued by the Administrator of Vehicle Standards under the Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989. The Australian Government, through the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, regulates the importation of new and used vehicles into Australia, and under which circumstances these vehicles become registered. The regulations are primarily designed to ensure that roadworthiness and safety remain uncompromised, and that every vehicle that is imported complies with Australian standards before there is an application for registration. With the Australian Government granting it’s approval for Full Volume Compliance for Performax F-Series Super Duty, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, Performax International is formally recognised as being in the top tier of car manufacturers for the Australian market. Full Volume Compliance (FVC) A full volume manufacturer is one that holds approval to place identification plates on new vehicles supplied to the Australian market in unlimited numbers. Compliance tests are performed on a representative vehicle or batch of vehicles. The results of these tests are used to demonstrate that all vehicles of that type meet the ADRs. As some of the tests require that a vehicle be crashed, it is only cost effective to obtain approval to fit plates to vehicle models that have sizeable markets. Performax is importing the Performax Ford F-Series Super Duty, and the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Denali 2500 and 3500 ranges under this scheme. Low Volume Compliance (LVN) The Low Volume Scheme for new vehicles allows for the supply to the market of up to 25 or 100 vehicles per year per vehicle category. The Scheme provides a major concession in that it allows alternative forms of evidence to be submitted against some of the ADRs. In the main this applies to ADRs where destructive or expensive testing is required. The Low Volume Scheme for new vehicles is limited to vehicle make/ models that are on the Register of Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicles (the Register). The eligibility requirements for entry on the Register are set out in Regulation 24 of the Motor Vehicle Standards Regulations 1989 and in the Administrator of Vehicle Standards Circular 0-2-12. Performax International is importing and re-engineering such vehicles as the Toyota Tundra, previous models of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Denali, Dodge Ram and performance cars such as Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro and Ford Mustang. • 34. Registered Automotive Workshop Scheme (RAWS) The Registered Automotive Workshop Scheme (RAWS) allows for the importation and supply of used specialist or enthusiast vehicles to the market in Australia. Under this scheme only a RAW can import a used vehicle into Australia. RAWS arrangements do not apply for vehicles manufactured before 1 January 1989 or vehicles that are to be imported under the Personal Import Scheme. Performax International is importing and re-engineering such vehicles as the Toyota Tundra, previous models of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Denali, Dodge Ram and performance cars such as Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro and Ford Mustang. Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme (SEVS) SEVS is a register of vehicle make/models that have been assessed as meeting the criteria in the Regulations for classification as specialist and enthusiast vehicles. These are make/models that are not available from the mainstream manufacturers and cater for consumers with specialist and enthusiast interests. Performax International is importing and re-engineering such vehicles as Chevrolet Corvette, Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang under this scheme. 34 PERFORMAX INTERNATIONAL CAPABILITY STATEMENT
