40. What is Go By Bike?
• Started in 2011 as bike repair only
• 2012 bike valet
• Private company and OHSU contractor
• Parked over 150,000 bicycles
• Free for the public
• Our mission is to “create
the best end point bicycling
experience”

43. How Does It Work?
• Must have OHSU email
• Fill out agreement on Go By Bike webpage
• Text code to bike share phone number
• In one business day will receive text
confirmation

• System automatically replies with combination
code
• We have record of who checked the bike out and
when
• All bike equipped with magnetic lights and basket
• Helmets available on racks

45. • User can ride and lock up bikes up anywhere
• 100% free to use
• Must return bikes within 24 hours to one of the stations

46. • Bike equipped with anti-theft tracking device
• Each bike receives full tune-up once a year and a check up once a month
• People can also report problems to valet station

• Each bike is $550 (including basket, fenders, lock, tracking, lights, and
signage)
• Custom station rack $1,200
• $2,500 a year for overhead
• $900 toward building bike share system
