It is my sincere pleasure to recommend Brandon Peay for employment in the Financial Planning
profession. I have known Brandon for approximately 2 years as his professor in several courses. As Director of
the Financial Planning Program in the Department of Finance at Western Kentucky University I have well over
a hundred students any given semester, yet Brandon has always stood out from the rest. I would expect that
the same would be so for any position of employment he takes.
As my student, Brandon has proven himself exemplary. His attention to his work has always been
exceptional in my courses as well as those he has taken with other faculty. His reputation with my colleagues
is as fine as it is with me. He is known for his excellent grades, thorough work and pleasant disposition in
class. One remarkable quality I have found in Brandon is that he is never one to complain, regardless of the
workload put upon him. This is, unfortunately, an uncommon quality at times, especially in the rigorous Finance
undergraduate program. While others may try and cut corners and complain, Brandon simply buckles down
and does what is necessary to complete the task.
I could always count on Brandon to be in class punctually and regularly, and maintain mental presence
as well as physical. His comments and questions are never frivolous and I am sure he will be a reliable
member in any team setting.
During Brandon’s education in Finance in and out of the classroom, he has gained valuable knowledge
that will serve any financial services firm well. This is not just general finance knowledge, but detailed
understanding of employee retirement programs, insurance and fringe benefits, and investment and tax
planning. I am very proud of the education our department provides in these areas and Brandon is a wonderful
example of a quality education in financial planning topics.
You would be hard-pressed to find a better candidate for a position than Brandon Peay. Few students
are as deserving and I know he will prove to be a valuable team member for you in addition to an excellent
ambassador for our program.
