PDHPE teaches students about personal safety, road safety, water safety, and emergency procedures to promote safe living. It encourages physical activity by teaching ways to be active and the benefits of an active lifestyle. PDHPE also looks at ways to be healthy through nutrition, drug education, and sun safety. The subject strengthens personal relationships by covering relationships, communication, and different types of social groups.
