O U R HI S T O R Y
The Covenant School began in 1993 as Covenant Christian Family School (CCFS). Founded
by a group of parents seeking a classical and Christ-centered school for children in grades
K-8, CCFS was influenced by the pedagogical principles of Charlotte Mason, a 19th
-century
English educator. At CCFS, children were exposed to a rich curriculum of authors, artists,
nature studies, and narration.
In 1996, CCFS parents joined other like-minded families to start a classical and Christ-centered
college preparatory school for students in grades 9-12. Logos Academy was formed to
provide a rigorous curriculum rooted in a deep appreciation for Western civilization. Like CCFS,
Logos sought to serve as an extension of the family, recognizing the authority of God’s
Word and the primacy of parents in the education of their children.
In 2001, Covenant Christian Family School and Logos Academy merged to formThe Covenant
School. Today, with more than 560 students currently enrolled in K-12, The Covenant School
continues to attract qualified students and like-minded families seeking a rich, robust, classical,
and Christ-centered education.
