Located in the Peenya Industrial Estate, Bangalore, Alpha Linear is an ISO-certified organization with high-

Established in 1990, our main focus is manufacturing cleanroom equipment for pharmaceuticals, bio-safe

4. Biosafety Cabinet
A biological safety cabinet provides personnel, product, and
environmental protection from hazardous particulates and agents that
require biosafety level 1, 2, or 3 containment. The most commonly used
biological safety cabinet is Type A2 and Type B2. Yet, biosafety cabinet
A2 is more prevalent (about 90%) in use than biosafety cabinet B2. A
biological safety cabinet employs two HEPA filters which provide
filtration down to 99.997% efficiency. It is ergonomically designed at a
10° inclination which provides comfort for the working personnel as well
as a clear view into the work area. The front sash made from
polycarbonate protects the user from harmful UV rays and is manually
operated with a counterbalance for optimum operation.

5. Laminar Air Flow
Laminar Flow Cabinet is available with the horizontal laminar flow or
with vertical laminar flow. Laminar Flow Cabinet is a workbench or
similar enclosure, which creates a particle-free working environment by
taking air through a filtration system and exhausting it across a work
surface in a laminar or unidirectional air stream. The laminar flow
cabinet is enclosed on the sides and kept under constant positive
pressure in order to prevent the infiltration of contaminated room air.
The laminar airflow workstation only offers product protection and does
not offer personnel protection in the Biological Safety Cabinet. Laminar
Airflow Clean Benches are useful for mycology, food microbiology,
clinical pharmacy, hospital protocols, cleanrooms, semiconductor
assembly, pharmaceutical, aerospace, medical devices industries,
plant and mammalian cell culture where product protection is required.

6. Pass Box
Pass boxes are designed by some pass box manufacturers to minimize the
traffic and contamination entry into the cleanroom. However, it is mainly used to
transfer parts, tools, and other work items in small sizes between the higher
class and the lower class cleanroom. This method is used in many laboratories
to reduce the door opening times in cleanrooms. Pass box also acts as an
airlock device that prevents ambient air from entering or clean air exiting from
the cleanroom. Personnel traffic is the most important factor which must be
controlled. A pass box provides an effective solution as it allows materials to be
transferred into the controlled environment without actual personnel movement.
As the name states itself, the primary and only work of a pass box is to pass
material from one side to another without raising contamination concerns. If any
particulate matter presents on the material surface, it swipes away during the
operation. The interlocking door mechanism installed by pass box
manufacturers is the prime feature of a pass box when the door at one side is
open the door on the other side remains closed.
