and disconnected to their bodies and environment.
3. Creation on PCP
PCP was brought to market in the 1950s as an anesthetic
pharmaceutical drug but was soon taken off the market in
1965 due to its severe dissociative hallucinogenic side
effects on patients.
Since 1965, a number of synthetic types of PCP have
been sold as dissociative drugs for recreational and non-
medical use.
PCP first appeared on the streets in 1967.

7. How PCP affects the brain
PCP interrupts the neurotransmitters in the brain that
control learning, memory, emotion and the perception of
pain. Using PCP for a long time can seriously alter your
brain.
Long term effects of PCP can be memory loss, difficulty
speaking and thinking, depression, suicidal tendencies,
delirium and weight loss. PCP can also cause
neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimers and
Parkinsons. A user can also relive a bad trip years after
they've been off PCP.

9. Mental effects of PCP
PCP causes the user to act irrationally. Intense anger and
violence is a common reaction.
Hallucinations can happen causing the user to go in to their
own fantasy world and that fantasy world isn't always a good
place. When that happens it is usually called a "Bad Trip".
“Trips” usually last 12 hours.
A bad trip can happen when the user isn't expecting the effects
of PCP and get a rush of anxiety and panic. When the user has
a bad trip they basically enter a nightmare, this can have long
term effects on the user.
10. Where can you get HELP?
You can get help from many different places like local
hospitals but some effective everyday meetings
could be held at your local Alcohol Anonymous
meetings.
Many PCP users are bought to the emergency room,
where they become violent or suicidal. They are very
dangerous to them selves qnd others. They should
be kept in a calm peaceful setting and should not be
left alone.
