Research has demonstrated that genetic factors may profoundly influence a person's response to
prescription medications including possible side effects. Physicians are increasingly relying on pharma-
cogenomic testing to predict patient response and implement the appropriate drug and minimize the
risk of minor to life threatening (ADR-Adverse Drug Reactions) situations that kills an estimated 106,000
people annually.
